Yoga reduces your max isometric force so if your objective is to be a sprinter or a weight lifter, you really shouldnt do active stretches of any kind.

Aside of this, I think practicing yoga has been helping my body in lots of different aspects.

I have some lower back issues from poor lifting knowledge back when I started and every time I practice baptiste yoga it really lets me stretch out and release all the tension in my lower back.

Improvement in flexibility has allowed me to go deeper in my squat and keep better form in my deadlifts.

Additionally the meditation part has really helped me to make some spiritual gains. My view on life and how to treat others has totally changed. And of course, there's a good amount of hot females.
