Programming is like lifting for your brain. There's a lot of logic and abstract thinking going on. Also, feels fucking good to have made something which does what you told it.

You don't need a hobby. Make your hobby learning how to make small talk. There are tons of videos online about conversation.

Work on yourself, my man. Everything else will fall into place. You can always bullshit. My father was a master bullshitter, some of it kinda rubbed off on me, but nothing like the king.

You can sign up for lessons without partner. It depends a bit on your age and location but usually there are fewer men signing up, so there shouldn't be a problem. At the school where I started that surprisingly wasn't the case. I got partnered up with a girl that had already danced for years and was just filling in, which was also great because that way I had to listen to a lot of nagging or learn fast.

I recently took up the bass - but Guitar is just as fun. You can pick it up and fuck around for a bit whenever you get bored, and the improvement you'll make in a week if you consistently try to play tabs etc is a huge ego boost

I wish I could've taken up drumming earlier. I get so much pleasure just by hitting the shit out of the drumset. It's also THE Veeky Forums instrument. Playing through a 10 minute BM song feels the same as running for an hour or so.
