Feel free to add to this, I feel this should be stickied even

Is there really no hypertrophy rep range when we're talking about isolation tho ?
Camden Morales
>1 pound of protein per pound of bodyweight this is true though
Josiah Howard
>not eating an entire tub of protein mix per lb of bodyweight
You can stop thinking you're going to make it.
Hunter Nelson
Not quite myths but annoyances based on ignorance.

>1 pound of protein per pound of bodyweight
>1 pound of protein per pound
>1 pound of protein
Brandon Young
Nope. Total training volume is the only thing that dictates your growth. Now that being said, I think we'd all agree that a set of 8 for curls is better than a set of 3. It just comes down to safety tho, I've seen plenty of guys max out on curls.
Matthew Gomez
I don't see anything wrong with that you sissy
Aiden Rivera
if not 1g protein per lb then what
Landon Hill
Per kg
Chase Robinson
So i, as an 220lbs dude should eat 220lbs of protein?
Dylan Scott
Yes. Per day. Obviously.
...Just what the fuck

why stop there?
Owen Robinson
1.6 grams per kilo is the most you should ever eat eating more does nothing someone link the study
Oliver Clark
Yes.
Jonathan Campbell
> Strength =/= size
This one is true. I'm strong enough to close grip bench 3plate for reps, yet my arms are only 17 inches.
Easton Green
>bench is supposed to increase biceps >biceps help extend your arms

>not eating 1kg of protein per lb of bodyweight I SHIGGY DIGGY

Eccentric movement is important and a big contributor to muscle building
Hypertrophy rep range exists
rest i agree with
Gavin Butler
>biceps is the bigger muscle in the arm >antagonists dont promote each other

a common bbing rule is that tri work makes up 2/3 of arm size, bi work 1/3

I have doubts.

>Genetics don't play a huge role
This is true but I feel like people also use this as an excuse to not try at all
Luis Murphy
so it's not a myth then, retard
Benjamin Bennett
these are true tho
> Slow negatives build more muscle
time under tension is literally the reason why hypertrophy is not 5 reps
> The "hypertrophy rep range"
is legitimate. You get more hypertrophy from 8-12 reps than you would 1-5, this is established fact
> Strength =/= size
strength = CNS size = hypertrophy
different things, anybody that has lifted over a year will tell you the same
> Mind-to-muscle connection
literally CNS development. Same reason trainers use "cues" to help lifters do certain things mid lifts
I hope you're just trolling or I promise you have been lifting for less than one year

I responded it's TRUE that it's a MYTH that genetics don't play a huge role, because clearly they do
Benjamin Allen
>Negatives That's true to an extent >Hypertrophy rep range Proven in studies. >Strength =/=size You can't be an elite lifter without being "big" but I know a guy who weights 60 lbs less than me the lifts way heavier. Easily three times his weight for his dead lift.
>Mind to muscle connection Also true to an extent
>Pulldowns Different exercises work different muscles. Obviously.
Michael Gray
I got 0 sex before I started lifting
I got 1 sex after I started lifting
Andrew Davis
Well he's obviously talking about the percentage of people that don't believe the "myth"
Daniel Lewis
> Strength =/= size
But this is true. A lot of chinese powerlifters weigh ~65kg and are DYEL as fuck but lift 3x more than you do.
Jordan Taylor
You are so fucking stupid I'm not sure if you're even trolling
