it's not that crazy. people here might have slight aspergers and a misantrophic outlook on life in general but they're usually very interested in their hobbys and more intelligent (exept for /pol/) than the users of other pages like reddit or facebook. I mean what's craziest I think is how much the site has also helped steer me towards my interests and passions. Like, I teach and study classical literature and helped start the "Start with the Greeks" meme on lit, but that was years after I read the Odyssey/Iliad b/c of some chart on lit. Or like, I play bass in a moderately popular band, but didn't start liking music till mu (8ish years ago now). You feel me?
