Working set PRs are: 0.875/2.25/3/4.5 pl8 respectively
Again, why doesn't Veeky Forums run?
Holy fuck you run slowly, no wonder I never make more than 12km
get a race bike you plebeian
>implying I don't run
I switch between rowing, running, and biking through out the week for my cardio
I do run. I'm on a cut, plus I just enjoy the feeling after a solid bit of cardio.
I'm trying to get better at running but I fucking suck. Why are all those 0>5k programs have so many walking segments? And how to I know where I start in those programs if I can already run a little?
Because I don't like to run.
One foot in front of the other at a steady, maintainable running pace until you can't run anymore. That's how I did it.
My distance progression was 5k > 10k > 1/2mara > full marathon
I dont give a shit about PRs as long as I get my weekly km's in, so perhaps I'm not the best person to be asked about becoming faster
running a half this spring
pretty good so far
Did you run every day? If I try to do that I just can't improve it at all. I'm 220 lbs, run an 8-9min mile then sprint a lap and walk a lap till I get 3m total then call it quits right now. Going slow sucks, I like to use my large legs to run. Can't do both on a treadmill.
these weak bitches have no endurance thats why
they only squirt out few deadlifts/squats and go home
Tbh I really like running but having to pace myself just sucks. How do you get comfortable at a low speed like 12 km/h for example? I keep drifting towards 16 to 18 but I know that's not the way to go for a 5k.
I want to start running, but I need to buy some shoes first. The last half year I've been wearing my steel toe work shoes everywhere, and running in those is a fucking pain.
Any recommendations on some decent cardio footwear?
newbie here, I started lifting a couple of weeks ago and I want to incorporate some running in my routine. should I do it on rest days? if not what is the best time for it?
Every day fries your muscles really quick. You've gotta give them some time to relax. Run whenever you want but make it at least 2-3 runs/week and it's gonna get better.
Either after a workout on the same day, or on rest days whenever. There's no such thing as overtraining for us fitizens, as long as your training isn't conducted 100% professionally (as in precompetition killer intensity).
Cheapest running shoes will do. As long as you dont have retarded feet like me, you shouldn't shell out cash for anything fancy. First of all because you clearly don't know what kind of shoes your feet like, second of all because none of my shoes costed me more than ~$35usd and I ran ultramarathons in some of those pairs.
>Run whenever you want but make it at least 2-3 runs/week and it's gonna get better.
Got it boss
You will be doing 50k's in no time, OP. And ignore the haters who don't have any endurance. You'd be surprised how many ultra runners are extremely muscular.
That's not running, its jogging at best. 50 min 10k lol, my 50 year old fat dad ran one faster. DYER
>50 min 10k
Why don't YOU run first?
>GOTTA GO FAST!!!
photoshoped
you are welcome
post ass
Like usual, Veeky Forums criticizes but never posts proof.
>running long distance
does nothing for you but get rid of muscle and pound your joints into oblivion.
do HIIT, miles, 1.5 miles and 5 miles. anything else longer provides no benefits that couldn't be more safely and quickly got from these.
hiit kills you
especially if youre heavy, shin splitnts are shit
Also, sprinting/hiit/ hill sprints are as demanding as a leg workout by itself, so you should plan youre training accordingly
>hiit kills you
elaborate
Walking segments are meant to make them more approachable to fatties and wimps, like me, so they won't quit as easily. It delays the climb in difficulty from lazy person who never exercises to moderate weekly exercise.
I'd also like to know this.
All the videos I've watched and reading ice fine regarding form all suggest 180 rpm or higher. That'll wipe me out well before I reach a mile. Going slower, however, makes correct form nearly impossible to maintain.
waste of time and knees
just do some resistance interval training with
>4.5 pl8 diddly
>sub 1pl8 press
Are you wondercunt? No male could have such a proportionally weak upper body.
just a question here
is running worth it? or just stick to a gym?
