Who here is a planklet and what does it mean to be a planklet, my best plank time is 2 minutes 30 seconds.
Planks

>tfw can only last 20 seconds
I just do a minute traditional, then a minute on each side. I should probably progress my times I've been doing the same thing for years
I did something over a minute before I got bored.
was doing 40seconds 2 weeks ago and now up to 2:40 thanks to lots of leg raises
I did 2 minutes once though I'm sure I can do more, but usually I just do 1 minute front and 30 on each side for a warmup
go for 21! you can make it !
i do exactly this also, sometimes ill do 2 sets because i like the pump i get
you can do planks longer and with more ab tension by flaring your arms out but faggots like scott herman think thats bad because not le proper form
>planking past 2 minutes
>thinking you're doing anything
why would you want to do more than that?
is there are special girl at your crossfit box that you're trying to impress?
I'm trying to add in scoobs Rotisserie plank workout, but im at a solid enough point to start doing Ab wheel. Can do 3x12 with nose almost touching ground.
I used to have to do 4 sets of 5 minute planks when I did rowing
now I can barley do them for 2 minutes
You're planking, faggot. Git gud
And not building significant stability or ab
definition. L2progress fag
Jesus christ
So once you can plank for a minute where do you go from there?
I do 5 min a day
Your times are all with a 45lb plate on your back right?
>Why do you want to improve your core???
wew
>more time under tension does nothing
you realize TUT is the basis for hypertrophy, right?
Is planking any good for building abs? Or should i combine it with some other excersise to build abs?
Yeah but after a point you're just doing endurance. Once you start getting a plank upwards of two minutes you should probably start trying to make it harder.
no planking is terrible for abs.
do curls instead
by adding weight plates? elevating your feet just shifts your weight to your upper body
Abs DOMS are the worst possible DOMS
I did a brutal ab circuit on monday and the DOMS are like torture
Well that's one way. From what I've seen one arm/leg raises while planking are good too.
Made it to 5 minutes a couple of times before I went to basic, found out you don't do planks all that often.
PSSSSSSSSSSSSS
PSSSSSSSSSSSSS
PSSSSSSSSSSSSS
or you could just do other ab exercises
You mean crunches? Can i do weighted crunches with a pair of dumbbells?
Are planks actually good for hypertrophy or is this some meme exercise?
i was being sarcastic dude, leg raises/planks are the best ab exercises
Curls bad for your back.
I'm up to almost 3mins now. My back is fucked and my dr said improving my core strength may help reduce/prevent the inflammation
my arms give out before my abs, i can get to 2 and a half minutes any tips?
This for me too but my abs are non existent. I feel like I'm probably getting the form wrong
no that's contractile failure
tut just helps get you there quicker
Does anyone else here try doing planks with arms extended out further? I feel that it works the abs a lot more.
See this user:
Put your elbows further away and your abs will burn with fiery anger.
Try curling in a squat rack, leaning on it definitely helps your back.

Are you me user? I was running 100/200m though, not rowing.
Ab curls? Wtf are ab curls? Sit ups?
I just do them for 1 minute because i get fucking bored
Neck DOMS is pretty up there.
People don't understand this. After a certain point, it becomes endurance. Same shit for pullups and pushups, dips, once you start doing 12+, you get marginal returns on every extra rep you get.
Do weighted planks for a minute, and increase weight and try again for a minute.
Physics, changing lever length, more moments on abs
3-4 minutes
I do weighted planks for sets of 30 seconds
>plank for 5 or 6 minutes because when I started I was just counting in my head too slowly to 60 "seconds"
Actually can you elaborate? I've been doing pushups in sets of 100, and try and hit 1000 a day. Plus pull ups and occasionally vups and other core stuff. I'm primarily doing cardio because boxing. Not looking to increase gains too much, but in my situation I think I would prefer quantity over weight.
But you're not doing any work during a plank.
