It's an indicator of good genetics. It's highly unlikely that a couch potato that played video games in a dark room for his whole childhood will ever look like pic related. Almost all /bigguys/ played some kind of sport.

Half true, it helps for musculature and skeletal system but is not a direct requirement. I played Runescape and other games for three years growing up (over 1200 days or so) - started lifting and ended up looking great. Height and daily stretching is also a smart idea.

also buy a pullup bar or go to a playground/whatever nearby that has a pullup/dip station

assuming you train properly you can get to ripped/athletic mode in 2-3 years

db/calisthenics route is viable for bodybuilding
