I am 23 years old, and honestly, I've been a pretty shitty dude until now. Drug use, porn/fapping and generally being lazy have given me many regrets. A lot of fun times, but many regrets. Luckily I've attained a job, and live in a city where I know relatively few people (only those I live with and one other friend.) I write as a freelance writer at home, and make good money doing it.
It seems to me I have a chance to revolutionize myself. To learn, get ripped, and put myself into a semi-cocoon mode where I learn firsthand about the pain and worth of self-improvement.
I've been lifting for a week or two and love it so far.
Do you guys have any tips for a self-imposed regeneration? I want to use this bountiful free time I have thanks to my job and relative anonymity to become something greater.
This is what I have so far:
>Read literature, lots of it. Challenging philosophy, classical texts, russian novels etc. My dream is to be an author so I will study language here. >Lift hard, lift heavy, eat well. Get lots of sleep. My body is my temple and the gym is my worship. >Meditate an hour a day. Relate to myself more introspectively and become present. >Completely remove pornography and fapping from my life. I'm on day 35 right now and going strong, almost feel like a new man. I plan to be rid of it forever and only gift my seed to women who I find very attractive, or who deserve it.
What else should I be doing?
It seems there's so much I can do, I'm not sure where to start. I've got all the partying out of my system, so I guess I could use Tinder or go to a bar occasionally to release my seed.

I don't pretend to be an Ubermensch, I just want to craft immensely positive habits that will help me through my maturation into a respectable man.

my advice as someone who did cocoon mode for 2 years before going to uni would be: dont do it
Im definitely a better person than I was before, but it was hard to jump back in. just use this opportunity to surround yourself with new better people. get some good hobbies and meet new friends through that
Josiah James
just don't quit your job, and keep in touch with the people you know. don't pass on the chance to meet new people or do something just for fun.
There's a reason solitary confinement is the worst punishment we have short of physical torture.

Solid advice thank you gentlemen.

what do you write and who pays you

I know your struggle OP but I'm having such a hard to quitting pornography. Any tips and should I stop masturbating completely for a while until I can go without porn?
Bentley Long
Find something that replaces your (bad) habit of pornography. You want to instill a good habit instead. Also, find out what triggers your habit to fap to porn. If you do it simply because you are bored and sitting at the computer (that was my main reason) switch it off and go outside. I am serious here. Just completely distance yourself from the internet from a bit. Don't fight the urge with just your willpower, but become aware of when, why and how it arises. That way you can learn to handel it better.
Ideadly you want to avoid PMO (Porn-masturbation-orgasm) and nofap help with that. When you are horny and need porn to fap, then something is broken. Fap when you are horny, but do so without porn.
Robert Ward
dont go cocoon mode. the most gains you will ever make as a human being are made going out and talking with people and experiencing life. go make some friends, establish some go-to contacts for hanging out, and more importantly talk to girls. flirt with everyone, but dont be serious about it. keep a couple girls as friends to hang with or to use her friends. good luck
Jeremiah Diaz
dont try and go cold turkey. if you fap 2x a day now, try 1x a day for a few weeks, then reduce to 1x every other day, then 1x every 2 days and so on until you fap a healthy amount

How big is your fedora collection?

>>Lift hard, lift heavy, eat well. Get lots of sleep. My body is my temple and the gym is my worship. FUCKING KEK

It's SEO marketing. I basically flush the internet with shitty blogs that I know nothing about to link to shit and hopefully sell it. It's stupid work I don't have to think about but I'm usually done within 5/6 hours a day without commute. Getting the same amount as when I was a chef and worked 50 hours a week so shits cool
Andrew Ross
so basically wordpress niche sites with amazon affiliate marketing?
Thomas Clark
Similar. You'd be surprised how many of these shitty blogs are ghostwritten for clickbait. It's not good writing but it's better than a retail job I guess, except for the lack of colleagues.
Gabriel Foster
OP here. you know i agree, that shit i wrote sounds fucking gay. should have toned it down a bit, i was feeling positive from the gym and went a bit overboard. got some good replies from it though
Matthew Fisher
i know, i worked for someone with a seo network once, he basically set up lots of wordpress sites and customized them slightly and then filled them with unique texts that he bought for pennies from those textbroker sites. i guess if you can get it up and running its a great way to make a living, how long did it take you to become profitable? sorry for offtopic
in terms of lifting and fitness i would recommend getting a basic homegym and doing pic related, you will not lift super heavy with basic equipment because most of it can only hold like 200kg or something, but thats a lot and youll not get there very fast unless you really want to dedicate your life to lifting.
Chase Ortiz
you strenght fags, when will you cease
Jeremiah Howard
Yeah I've been looking what goes into hosting myself, seems like a pretty decent way to do it. I don't personally make much, i don't own any sites, i'm just hired as a freelance writer for an established SEO firm. i'm paid a flat rate per 500 word article (£7) which is easy to make because they're not really looking for quality, well researched posts, just something that poses as one.
I can write two or sometimes three of those articles an hour, and take on extra weekend work so I guess technically it's the best job i've ever had. plus i don't have to associate with normies reeeeee
Thanks for the image, is that preferably to SS? It's what I'm doing right now
Adam Cook
keep in touch with people. That's one thing I regret.
Christian Reed
ss is a meme, im probably as much a computer guy as you and i found the one i posted better much better suited. its a beginner routine and has all the lifts you need to gain muscle, of course youll not get shredded with it alone but if youre just getting into lifting youll see some big gains compared to before. pic related illustrated it a bit better maybe. you can also add an AB roller to hit your ABs a little more, but basically thats all you need.
so you write 1000-1500 words per hour? thats pretty good (and hard i assume) even if youre only writing nonsense, you should probably look out for carpal tunnel syndrome.
Lincoln Brooks
>I write as a freelance writer at home, and make good money doing it
BS.
Owen Myers
He's got low standards for what qualifies as "good money", but it's nonetheless possible. I do the upper end of what he's talking about and make ~$75/hr
Jack Murphy
Hey that's exactly the workout I'm doing, cool
Caleb Brooks
Wow How autistic you have to be to fall for this meme. Just go out there and live Leaving fit will be far more benefitial than any of those shitty strategies cocoon mode my ass
Jaxon Russell
I'd say continue doing what you're doing except that releasing seed part. It's just creepy. Also spend some time with your friends even if that means drinking your dick off Poeple here really try too hard to be some weird vidya characters
