Best Row:

In your opinion, which row is best row?
Barbell/dumbbell/yates/tbar/one hand/two hands?
Which is better for a thicc back? I've been doing chins forever but I've never managed to settle on one particular row.

kroc

I really like the dumbbell row right now, but I see people fucking it up all the time in the gym... mostly from ego rowing or just being a grill.

I do both Yates and Pendlay, I am a real human bean

for some reason I can't get the positioning right when rowing with my left arm, I end up slipping like a motherfucker.

Kroc row is awesome until you get strong enough and your gym's DB's only go to 100lb...

Then Yates Row/T-Bar Row

>I've never managed to settle on one particular row

No need to.

Pick a few favorites and cycle through them as you get bored.

In general I do supported rows on days when I squat or deadlift to take stress off my lower back and barbell / cable rows on days that I bench / ohp.

I've heard that Yates actually develops lat width and others (especially Tbar, dunno why) develop thiccness. Is that true? Asking because I'm already doing chins, as stated. Also Yates seem to be the only ones I can do correctly.

The one that you skip.

I love yates and tbar.

Should I do yates with overhand or underhand?

Pic related is underhand? Isnt that dangerous for bicep strain, cuz yates are always done with little bit of a cheating

tranny rows lol

way too much fucking thought dude

just lift more

Rows for the hoes

I've always said Kroc rows led to overdeveloped traps

Fuck I honestly forgot about this. Is it really real?

Depends on goals

if goal is pure hyperthrophy you should do dumbell rows, you get the most stretch with these

For strength and athleticism do pendlay rows
For lower back recovery to chest supported rows
For egolifting, trapfocus and being on steroids do kroc rows or maybe yates

my sides in orbit

>barely any Pendlay rows
>this board claims to be about fitness

>Kroc rows led to overdeveloped traps

alright senpai, how do I do them? any proper video teaching it and are they actually good to building traps for a natty?

Ayyy

got me good

grab a dumbbell over 100 pounds and just force the reps as many times as you can

so you're telling me to do whatever I can to pull a weight too heavy for me?

I remember reading/hearing traps are best developed when stretched so that makes sense the insane stretch they get on the negative part of the krok

yeah within reason
I try power it up and control it a bit on the way down, makes your traps and back swell up like mad

...

Yep. I have about a dozen socks b& on reddit for talking smack about kroc rows being for trannies or building juicy traps every time they're mentioned.

Poor Kroc. Where did he go wrong

What do you all think of seated cable rows

Chest supported barbell row

Good supplemental work. Shouldn't be the foundation of your rows tho

seal row > db row > barbell row

only good answer itt

all other types of rows fuck with your lower back too much when you go heavy

chest supported rows+chin ups = god tier back gains

what are t bar rows best for?

How can I do these in my home gym? I have a rack with safeties, a bench, and a barbell.

>kroc
You mean dumbbell rows. That tranny Kroc didn't make up anything.

pendlay

>Pendlay rows
they're great, but t-bar rows develop more thickness, especially at the bottom of the lats.

This guy was always a head case.

I rememberber hearing him talk about breaking into the gym alone and doing 1rm where if he failed he would probably die.

Must've had some issues with his parents. Sad

What's with the prominent men turning into transsexuals? Jenner, now Kroc. These aren't effeminate young men, these are high-level athletes, Olympians, veterans, etc. What gives?

Fuark that's hardcore

Same thing pretty much every other row is for man.

>Jenner, now Kroc

multiple olympic gold american hero vs. some guy

"prominent" means one thing user which are you choosing

>I've always said Kroc rows led to overdeveloped traps

No such thing

For me yates row feels the safest at whatever weight so i can go really heavy with perfect form. I like t bar but I prefer the free weight part of doing yates.

>some guy
>world records in powerlifting, NPC competitor
>did presidential security in the USMC
>exercise named just for him
>Olympians are suddenly heroes because they're good at sports

Where did Kroc go wrong? He was a competitive bodybuilder. They all have whack, fucked-up self-image issues, so they start having auto-erotica about being inside the woman's body (and not inside in the good way, as in a penis in their vagina).

It's kind of the flip side of the same reason that so many weightlifting and powerlifting guys wind up with masculine muscle-fus, who all look like MTF "trannies" aka cross-dressers. The men have dysmorphia and don't even see themselves as "big" so the woman who has most of the secondary sexual characteristics of an adult man looks feminine to them. The women, OTOH, are so obnoxiously ugly to normal men that nobody but another lifter wants them.

Bruce did that shit for the social signalling and publicity. He's always been the kind of guy who would go out of his way to be socially outrageous, or participate in "counter-culture" shit, for attention. He did star in "Can't Stop The Music," remember? He did marry into a Hollywood family, didn't he?

Neither of these assholes really believe they were "always female" though. You can tell by the names they chose for their drag queen identities. "Caitlin." Fuck me. Bruce was an athlete when I was a boy. If Bruce really felt "female" in identity back then, then his female identity WOULD HAVE A NAME THAT WAS COMMON BACK THEN. NOT SOME FUCKING MILLENNIAL CRAP NAME. Same with "Janae Marie" LOL.

>so they start having auto-erotica about being inside the woman's body
really something no one talks about. Same thing with porn and all the other demented shit floating around in today's culture

This sounds like complete horseshit.

No, that's retarded. Don't fall for mom-tier fitness memes.

came here to say i do pendlays.

165 lb for 6

Barbell bent rows for me, at a 60 degree angle. Fun and great for strength and hypertrophy. I've hit 120kg for 6 now.

Pendlay rows are my favorite. I'll have to give Kroc rows a whirl sometime

Cheating for traps

You're probably a BBer on roids who likes to play with his nipples while watching girl/girl porn.
