If dirty/ clean diets don't matter so long as you meet your calorie/ protein targets, why do the Veeky Forums diet guides tell you to not eat processed food and to prepare everything yourself?

Its not just protein, its your macros as a whole. Even without taking into account micronutrients, vitamins etc its much easier to have a good ratio of carbs/fat/protein with a clean diet. Most processed foods are high in fat

What does Kripp have to do with Veeky Forums

he is the personification of a peak male body

because they do matter for your digestion, bodily functions, brain, organs, performance etc. calories in calories out is literally just for your weight. not bf% but total body mass. even for that it's a bit of an oversimplification/exaggeration but it gets an important point across about the importance of your diet

>If dirty/ clean diets don't matter

Except that they do.

>Most processed foods are high in fat

No, they're mostly "low fat" and therefore "healthy". They're high in sugar.

snacks and cereals sure but you realise many shit tier meats come under "processed foods" right?

did kripp ever learn greek
i bet his wife cucks him all the fucking time

his nose looks like a ballsack

if you look at the ready-to-eat or frozen meals at the supermarket they have insane amounts of fats and salt

He said that ice pops can't make you fat, so he's as retarded as half of the fit

Is sugar a big factor in things? As in, I'm okay as long as I don't go over the daily recommended amount, right? And otherwise, they aren't important?

I want you to try eating 1500 Cal of chicken breast, rolled oats, and broccoli for a week. Then I want you to try eating 1500 Cal of processed foods/fast food for a week. You'll lose bodyfat off of either, but one will leave you much hungrier than the other.
The reason why you should prepare everything yourself is so that A) you know how much you're consuming and B) it's a lot cheaper than buying premade food, which is nice.

are you american? look at a nutrition label. you'll notice that everything has a daily recommended value, except for sugar. why? because big sugar doesn't want you to know how much sugar is in your food. because it's fucking toxic. stop eating sugar.

recommended daily amount of sugar is none

yeah you can eat some and it won't kill you but there's no nutritional reason to. also sugars aren't equal. fructose from fresh fruits is better than glucose

>fructose from fresh fruits is better than glucose

why?

>fruits containing vitamins and fiber is not better than refined sugar

Dense

That's not the claim though and it doesn't answer his question.

?

i was just asking a question.

they do matter. they matter less to people who are on roids, and some peope gain popularity on the internet by spouting controversial ideas and/or telling people what they want to hear. this tier of nutritional advice is on par with mike chang's training 'advice'.

food quality and cleanness matters big time. different foods affect the body in different ways. anyone who tells you otherwise has been memed.

You retards should kys tbqh fampais

basically because your body has to work for the other while the other that straight up spikes up your insulin

>calories in calories out is literally just for your weight. not bf% but total body mass.
this can't be stressed enough.

i'll also add that people often think that calories in is the only changing variable there, but your macros and food quality result in different calories out, too; the body is complex and does different things with different nutrients. eating 2000 calories of lean chicken, veg etc vs eating 2000 calories of sugar is going to result in you weighing a different amount. loosely the clean diet will fulfill your body's various processes sufficiently and leave fewer calories left over for fat storage, whereas the sugar will metabolize fast, has zero nutritional value so can not be used elsewhere so the body keeps it as fat. that's a very simple analysis but basically food quality matters too.

you shouldn't eat either kind as refined meaning straight from the bag or in the form of sugared drinks or whatever. both go straight into your blood basically.

eating the same amount of sugar overall in the form of berries or fruits it gets released at a steady pace. plus you get all the fibers as an extra

this

we on Veeky Forums all tread lightly when it comes to workouts. we don't like brosplits, we look for progressive overload etc. we are skeptical about any routine and want the best one.
for some reaosn, the same doesn't apply to dieting. but believe this OP: there are just as many ineffectual diet advices and plans etc as there are ineffectual workout plans. there is a correct way to eat and of fucking course eating sugar, pizza etc is NOT the way to do it

>fructose
>goes into blood

'no'

well obviously the sugar itself doesn't, insulin does. refined fructose is better than refined glucose but it's still not very good as far as carbs go.

depends what type u get senpai

If weight loss is your only goal then calories in/out is all that matters.
But if gaining muscles/being a healthier person overall is your goal then you obviously need to eat healthy.

What about something like this? Is the sugar content high in this?

Calories are low and looks okay otherwise (?)

That's a lot of salt, that's a lot of sugar, and doesn't even state protein contents

macros are macros and cal ın cal out ıs trueö but...
most of the "processed" food is simply no food at all!!!
most of the non animal fats, soy shit, fructose shit, Sodium conserving agents, and other industry tier shit is simply NO FOOD... and no matter that if burned it will produce the same calorie energy output it just can not be processed by our human metabolism...
eat food not plastic...

what you want to look at is carbs, fats and protein. this picture doesn't have the necessary info to make a decision, it has meme stats. read the sticky and google the basics of macros. a 40-40-20 is a pretty solid diet for everybody (40% of calories from protein, 40 carbs, 20 fats)

Doesn't excess sugar metabolize into fat?
