I think people start noticing change after like a few months. Nothing huge, but they just start noticing that you dont look quite the same anymore.

I went from dyel to "user you look big, and I don't mean fat" in like 6 months or so. Then again I was also cutting at the same time soooo

3 months if you do it right, especially nutrition...lots don't seem to grasp the concept that's literally 80% of it.

How long lifting and weight? I started out gaining muscle while losing fat but was an amazingly slow process. Your calories seem to low. I was eating clean food and about maintenance sometimes short. I don't believe basic laws of thermodynamics can be applied to our bodies to make nutrition so simple and a lot here will disagree but do some research.

Ah, just saw the bit about soylent. If you're getting your vital nutrients, and your getting enough calories, theoretically you can swing it. Personally I'd feel like shit doing that, because I can't subsist of snacks and liquid meals.

Also, being on a cut means you generally can't eat out with your friends ever without breaking that cut. You can get lucky, and find some places with low cal menus, but for the most part it's hard as shit and makes you stand out, but fuck it, it's not worth doing if you don't have to bleed for it.

Well, I mean, what are your goals? If you just want to be stronk and eat good, then you absolutely can do that. It sounds nice to me, but I like to have sex, so I'd rather be less stronk but also weigh less (gains are scarce when you cut) and look good

I'm no nutritionist user, my only suggestion is just eat what works for you. My diet is like, a sweet potatoes, chicken, boneless pork chop, white corn tortillas, and sugar free mandarin oranges, and random variations of those things. It's pretty autistic I'd say, but it works for me and gets me where I want to be.

See, the problem with bulking, as a skinny fat, is that I have no idea whether the calories are going straight to fat or muscle, and I really don't want to look any fatter. So that's why I'm cutting first, and working out four times a week.

I never understood why people think working out is such a chore and a waste of time.
It's one of the few things that actually makes me feel good, which is pretty obviously from the release of endorphins. I don't feel the need to consume sugary foods/booze when I work out regularly, as I don't need exogenous chemicals to temporarily feel good.
Looking better is nice, but feeling great is the main reason I work out.
