Hey anons, I was posting in a FPH thread yesterday talking about one of my clients from a regional center, when some user mentioned the child's symptoms sounded awfully similar to Prader-Willi syndrome. I read about it, it matched him to a T, so I took the kid in for another examination from a different pediatrician and mentioned the disorder, we drew blood to have a genetic test done and he's getting a modified care plan.
I made this post for you, user. I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I want to let you know that you have immeasurably improved this child's life. Whoever you are, I wanted to thank you.

You can in some places get genetic tests done way quicker. Like almost the same afternoon. But they're less reliable so you get more than one done. This leads to more people using DNA testing tho so in the end you're still waiting a week or two and you can have a more reliable older test come back before the results from newer ones.

I'm working in Biotech and we're sending in probes to sequence everyday in the afternoon with a courier. Next morning at 10AM we got all dem DNA sequences.
You can sequence a human genome in a couple of hours with fairly good accuracy.
