Going well. Just finished day 1 and had a snack. While family is over for Memorial Day weekend, we never have dinner till 9:30-10 anyway so it works out.

I guarantee you he doesn't pray 5 times a day. Also, physical labor has never been an issue with fasting, physical labor is much worse in the 3rd world and they still manage to fast. He's just not a practicing muslim, he could have said that instead of lying. I had a physical labor job construction job, it was in the summer and I fasted, wasn't an issue. You guys aren't exposed to this so this seems very strange to you, but it's absolutely a non-issue everywhere else.
Don't get me wrong, exhaustion is a thing, but you also have to be smart about it. Hydrate throughout the night, eat well and actually get some sleep.

unless you're a 5 year old or an alcoholic, I don't think that's a concern for you. I personally get a huge urge to piss around wake up time and it works out for me so that it forces me to wake up. Then again, it happens on regular days too with copious hydration, so no biggie.

I adopted a schedule where I sleep after Duhr and before maghrib, go lift/run, then come eat iftar, chill with senpai till taraweeh, then hit the books until duhr time, during which I sleep and repeat the cycle. Anyone doing anything similar? My lifts seem fine, too early to notice a difference.
