I can't afford school. Got accepted into premed and they told me I still would owe 20k every semester that wasn't covered under financial aid. So I'm almost done with paramedic school and until I save up for RN, that's where I'll stay.

Nice. Only been at it a couple months and plan to be at it for a good while, but eventually hope to jump to PA. I wanted to be a first responder, and didn't have strong feelings about medicine so PA is just for whenever I get old but want to work still.

Tried EMT for a bit it was fun but being up for 24 hours as a Paramedic would get to me over time. They should make every Paramedic watch Bringing Out the Dead, great movie.

Its not in itself immoral but because it has been coopted by the government. Socialized medicine relies on predation through taxes. The reason why doctors make so much money is because the demand is made artificially high by limiting the amount of doctors and hospitals.
