Are there actual catalogued benefits to whey powder, or is it a placebo that is only ingested by people who are exercising anyways and is falsely attributed to any gains made.
While those area good healthy choice to have in any diet, the proteins they contain are lower in amino acids than meat and whey derived proteins and therefore are less anabolic

Whey isn't as good a protein source as meat/fish/eggs but it's a lot better than the soy/veggie protein vegans eat which does nothing for them. The problem with whey supps are the fillers and protein spiking, not the whey itself.
