For acetate its about 1-2 weeks, for enanthate, which is a longer ester, it can take 2-3 weeks until you notice the effects yourself, but 5 or more weeks for any visual changes in size to occur. It simply ramps up slowly - you might notice increased power by the end of your first week, but it'll be insane after a month or so.
