Oatmeal

How does Veeky Forums like to prepare their oatmeal?
All recipes welcome, savory or sweet.
Anyways, I personally just like to add banana slices and blueberries to my oatmeal.

I take a cup of rolled oats, add 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed, a tablespoon of craisins, dash of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (the spicy kind, I forget what it's called) add boiling water and cover and let it sit for a while until I think it's done.

Ceylon cinnamon, that's it.

banana, oats, milk and some cacaopowder (sometimes strawberries too)

everything into the blender and TAADAA a delicious breakfast is ready in under 2 minutes

Savory oats sounds weird.

Oats+PB+Honey+cinnamon = GOAT

Cook mine in a rice cooker, fool proof steel cut oats every time. Add sugar, coconut oil, cinnamon, flax, chia, frozen berries, store in fridge so i have easy breakfast erry morning. Just add a dash of almond milk and microwave and its done.

Strawberries and crushed almond chunks is my shit

>coconut oil
damn I gotta try this with oats

boil the oats in water
eat the oats

100g oats 500ml milk

>Savory oats sounds weird.
Eh it's not that weird, since oats have a fairly neutral flavor by themselves savory flavors work well.
Had a roommate last year that would make his oats with small bacon slices and a fried egg on top it was pretty tasty.

Why do we have this thread every week?

hot milk
scoop of crunchy peanut butter
oats obviously
raw cacao powder
honey

Tastes amazing

What it autism?

Oats+tbsp brown suhar

I just make it with milk and throw in some bananas or berries. Never get tired of it.

What oats do you buy, the ones that require boiling or the the ones you just pour hot water/milk in and wait?

>100g oats
>vanilla almond milk
>pbfit stirred in
>dollop of peanut butter on top

i eat them plain.

is that weird? if so fuck you nigger it's my life

I used to eat oatmeal raw when I was younger. Still sometimes do.

>40-50g fiber enriched oatmeal
>1 dl water + 1 dl milk
>5g sugar
>cinnamon

I don't really care as I usually just eat them as they come with some water - but how would one go about making something not-sweet with them?
I eating sweet things when I am actually hungry, it upsets my stomach and it's disgusting.

I hate eating*

i do as well sometimes but i usually just eat boil them and eat them unflavored

I make scottish oatcake

Because I just started linking oats and also like op looking for some ideas

You ever try overnight oats? shit is amazing. Add plain yogurt to quick cook oats + whatever toppings you want. I like blueberries, honey and some almonds. The yogurt is very soft and chewy the next morning.

I meant to say the oatmeal is soft and chewy, great texture.

either make cocoa granola with quick oats or boil some almond milk, add 1/2 cup of steel cut/quick oat mixture, bit of hemp hearts, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, dried apple, then add vanilla whey powder + creatine if i haven't already had it. fills me up gud.

Cook oats with salt and wait for them to cool then add desired amount to banana and protein shake in the morning.

>Rolled oats
>Sliced banana
>Sliced strawberries
>Greek yoghurt
Quick, easy, tastey, and gives the most satisfying bowel movements.

i just put it in my 'power smoothie'/
50g oatmeal
50g whey protein
50g flax seed
banana
100g frozen berries
200g 2% greek yoghurt
just enough water for blender to roll.

oat's + spoon

enjoy

Bake it
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4c almond milk
1 egg white
1/4c canned pumpkin or 60g banana
Some kind of sweetener and cinnamon to taste

Put it in a toaster oven at 350° for 17ish minutes

not sure about the premature chicken fetus tho

DELET

It's just to help it hold together better, you don't have to add it

80g Rolled Oats
Hot Water

when its ready:
Blueberries, Greek Yoghurt and a dash of milk

chop an apple and mix it with water, microwave for 2 minutes then add in 1 cup oats.

400cals and tastes great

Either this or overnight oatmeal with blueberries

50g oats
Water
Cook
Add 300g Greek yogurt, 1 banana and 100g walnuts.

boil water
add goats
consume

This minus pb. And made with water. Because I'm depressed like that

how many calories does it add up to?

at this point an 800 cal meal + whey in whole milk wouldnt make you throw up like this giant thick shake

i eat oats every morning and for about 7 months it's been this, and im not tired of it because it's probably one of my favorite foods

2cups steel cut oats
2 scoops chocolate whey
2tbsp cocoa
add fruit if you want. tastes like a brownie.

kek

>correcting somebody else then using the wrong word and therefore making yourself look like a twat who's tripping over his own feet in a desperate attempt to be a cunt.

In all fairness, you were right. But I'm also a cunt so...

2 scoops (from protein powder) of oats, milk just to cover it, microwave for 2 minutes, add peanut butter, scoop of protein and a sliced banana, add more milk, enjoy

cook oats in microwave
add tiny bit of vanilla extract
add scoop of chocolate protein powder
add sliced bananas
eat

Plain, but at about 3 times the suggested serving

For dinner I like savory oats:

0.5 cup oats
1tbsp pb
2 oz sun-dried tomato
1tbsp chili sauce

That's impressive.
I ate twice the suggested serving once because I misread and felt like I was going to vomit.

Try this my negros

>oats
>1 tbsp butter
>salt
>fuckload of pepper

Shit tastes godlike, if you add extra butter it tastes even better.

I pour some oats and whey into a bowl, add water, then microwave it.

~70g
~50g sunflower seeds
whole milk

microwave 4 mins

let cool

1 scoop

CMON

Why do so many people on Veeky Forums add milk? Bulking?

How long did it take you to love GOATS bros?

In my case, over a month. But boy, did I hate them at the beginning... it was basically torture to have a scoop of them in the morning.

Now, the only thing that I have for breakfast is my half cup of GOATS with a sliced banana. I have lost 25 pounds since January :3.

I'm going to make it!

If you faggots don't eat savory oats you're doing it wrong

200g oats+2 tablespoons of coffee+pint full fat milk=overnight pre-workout GOAT OATS!

>50g oats
>250ml water
>A bit of cinnamon and salt
>Microwave on full heat for 3 minutes
180 kcal of pure deliciousness prepared while I take my morning shower.

My perfect sweet warm creamy oats recipe I make every morning:

>50g oats
>160-180ml water
>10 drops liquid stevia
>10g whey protein powder (chocolate, vanilla, or unflavored)
>Microwave on 650w for 2:30 minutes
>Nice and creamy
>Add sliced banana, berries or sliced apple, if apple add cinnamon

Substitute milk for water for an even creamier texture, especially when bulking for some extra calories as well. When bulking I also up the amount of oats, while retaining the other ratios.

>50g / 250ml

Doesn't this get too watery? I usually use less water. Full heat is 900w?

I do this all the time my dude, it's a good way to eat oats.

>Doesn't this get too watery?
It really doesn't, but it looks that way when it comes out of the microwave. Stir it with your spoon for a few seconds and it comes together like a proper porridge should. But you can use a little less water if you like, sure. I just find 250ml to be perfect for me.
>Full heat is 900w?
Not really sure, my microwave's pretty old and doesn't have a digital display nor any watt indicator. I think 900w is right though. If it comes out bone dry and dead, try 600w.

80g old fashioned oats, cook according to directions.
1 scoop protein powder
2 shots of stevia
1 spoon of acacia fiber

Tastes better

this

i literally look forward to this every day:
>4 servings of oats
>2tbsps pbfit
>1 scoop vanilla protein powder
>1 cup almond milk
stir it up good and place in microwave for 2mins
>tiny pinch of vanilla extract
>hemp hearts/chia seeds
>1/2 sliced banana, usually chilled or frozen
>splash of whole milk and a dollop of crunchy peanut butter

fucking amazing

Real oatmeal, not instant, about two inches of it in the bottom of the slow cooker
Raisins. A lot.
Cinnamon, both the ground kind and a stick or two.
Any kind of fruit, dried or fresh, you have handy. Throw it in.
A little bit of vanilla. This will give it a smell that makes you want more and more.
Chia seeds, a few spoonfuls
Water, milk, or cream to cover the dry stuff. Stir once.
Put this on low for about three hours. Then, turn the slow cooker off and add Metabolic Drive®, probably two scoops and some extra water, milk, or cream. Make sure it's a little soft and soggy. It'll continue to thicken overnight. The raisins will really plump up, too, indicating you're on the right track.

Let it all sit overnight. Upon rising, crank it up to hot for about ten minutes and mix it up nice.

pour steel cut oats in a bowl
blend a banana or two
stir and add cinnamon
microwave for 2-3 minutes
delicious

> tfw added old fashioned oats to my smoothies
> gave me loose stools
> has to grind them all into powder to save my shits

>gave me loose stools
Wait wtf do oats give you loose stools?
I too am experiencing this but I wasn't sure if it was because of the oats.
any other user here also get this when they eat oats?

a while ago i had an entire week where i was eating two bowls of oats, never had a satisfying shit after that, my shits were an inconsistent mess, they had no shape and they came close to being classified as diarrhea

I eat a cup of oats and then a teaspoon of brown sugar for flavor. I asks add bananas and apples

Cook them in water then add some frozen fruits in, i almost finished mine

Add milk to oats, then microwave and eat

1 cup oats, 2 cups water, microwave, then eat.
It's not good, but I know it does good..
I would add all that fucking blueberry if I had any at home.

I fill my feed bag with horse oats then continue to squat as I intake those delicious oats.
