I agree, man. Before I started coming here I thought I had a decent face and looked pretty good, despite being a khv. Since then I've become increasingly obsessed with my appearance to the point where I now often take pictures of my face and compare them to pictures of David Gandy. Now I can't stop thinking about how my brow ridge isn't low enough, my cheekbones aren't high enough, my jawline isn't strong enough, my fucking forehead isn't slanted enough, my nose is too slanted, my eyes are asymmetrical, my mouth is crooked, etc. It's become an unhealthy obsession that's consumed my confidence. Thank god I'm not a manlet, I can't even imagine how much all the shitposting about that would have gotten to me by now if I was. I misunderstood you user, thank you. But I think that it was not only the knowledge Veeky Forums provided, but the community. The board provides a culture which, as a guy that grew up with little paternal influence, emulates a masculine role model. Whilst Veeky Forums is probably a terrible example of a role model, it gave me the drive I needed to get off my arse and start working. I wanted to be able to engage in the bants that people had on here, and whilst my own drive and motivation may have helped me in part, it was also Veeky Forums that gave me that motivation also. Whilst it is sad, I see a lot of you as friends and family - in a weird, disconnected way. I'd never mention Veeky Forums to anyone I know, but I will always know that I can come here and laugh about fitness and talk about recent events and other issues, and it is that in part which has made me stick to fitness more than anything. For me, and for a lot of people, fitness is a culture just as much as it is a requirement for health. Veeky Forums immersed me in that culture, and has contributed to the drive I needed to become who I am today.
