It supports your whole body and any weight that you hold

spinal support

Sitting up, crunching and raising your legs

you know... the same fucking movements you are training in ab workouts

If abs didn't have a practical purpose, they wouldn't be part of your body.

There is some that are useless for the body tho

they literally hold you up right you fucking retard. please don't touch any weights you may kill yourself with such a low functioning brain.

There really aren't user. There are some body parts that we no longer need because we have used our intelligence to cuck nature to the extent that we don't need it but if shit went primal you would still want, like your appendix.

Standing up, climbing and running. Running actually needs quite a lot of stomach- and back-muscles.
Thats also why cardio is the best way to get nice looking abs.

Evolution isnt just pure survival. Many fitness (the making babys kind) factors can seem straigth up random. Some things ARE random.

Fucking rude

attracting women primarily

feeling good about yourself (secondary)

actually being healthy (a distant third)

One last one just for you OP

What about men having nipples.

The rectus abdominis is an important postural muscle. It is responsible for flexing the lumbar spine, as when doing a so-called "crunch" sit up. The rib cage is brought up to where the pelvis is when the pelvis is fixed, or the pelvis can be brought towards the rib cage (posterior pelvic tilt) when the rib cage is fixed, such as in a leg-hip raise. The two can also be brought together simultaneously when neither is fixed in space.

The rectus abdominis assists with breathing and plays an important role in respiration when forcefully exhaling, as seen after exercise as well as in conditions where exhalation is difficult such as emphysema. It also helps in keeping the internal organs intact and in creating intra-abdominal pressure, such as when exercising or lifting heavy weights, during forceful defecation or parturition (childbirth).

That's where a lot of your punching power comes from. A fighter who doesn't train his abs is a shit fighter.

find a picture of a man without nipples and that's all you need

If you like to squat, make sure to use your abs, lest you disembowel yourself through the asshole.

...

I don't like the look of abs, just the barely visable kind. So basically people who eat a ton to gain.

this is absolutely untrue

t. someone who never took a martial class in whole life

ever had a grill suck on your nips while she plays with your dik?

over work your abs, and then try to function the next day.

Good for a lot of sports like baseball and swimming

i went and maxed out on the crunch machine on sunday. they still hurt, and doing anything that isn't curling makes them hurt. benching, squatting, ohp, cables, everything. never knew they were so crucial

Punching power is primarily generated by hip torque, but also upper body strength and slightly bending the knee through the motion. Of all the core muscles, the serratus is the most important for punching, but overall the glutes and hips produce the most power.

Or just be bigger than the other guy.

Everyone has abs. Just some are not visible due to body fat.

They are a muscle group.

no shit faggot

are you fucking retarded? you're core holds your whole body together. Of course it's important.

>There really aren't
>what are wisdom teeth
>what are musles responsible for ear movement

Also, our appendix has become so shriveled and small over the generation that it really can't accomplish it's tasks even if "shit went primal".

take it from a guy who has the weakest abs and core, they're very important. I fuck up most of my compounds and fail to go heavy because I can't maintain correct form and posture.

>Of all the core muscles, the serratus is the most important
Wouldn't the turning force of the obliques do more to increase the strength of your punch than increasing the power or speed of your shoulder protraction from your serratus?

Best ab exercises that :
-don't fuck up your back (ie no crunches)
-don't need equipment (ie no hanging leg raises)
-work for beginners (ie no L-sits etc)
?

Planking is good in general but it hits the core more?

Intimidation. Are you going to fight the chad with a six pack or the dyel powerlifter with a fat pack

Taking a punch to the gut

>what are wisdom teeth

1.) You're a jawlet

2.) It used to be fairly common to lose teeth (such as getting hit in the face really hard during a fight) so having extra teeth is a good teeth

Modern dental care is really new

good to see this dumb myth continues. Punching power comes from your back. The rest of the body acts as a buffer to stabilize the inertia. Tysons secret boi

Abs are pretty damn helpful in bodywork exercises such as planks and l-sits.

Hell anything in gymnastics really as a lot of core work is involved.

With weak abs, you WILL injure your lower back at some point. Abs are the key to a strong core, which is the core to a sturdy, durable body.

Men use to feed babies. Also, nipples are good for navigating and locating areas of the body.

God is good.
