Pendlay Rows

So how much does Veeky Forums lift on the best row variation there is?
Also compared to your pendlay rows, how much ya bench?

Pendlay 87.5kg
Bench 107.5kg
Both 5x5. Pretty sure it's balanced

How much yates row vs pendlay should be? My yates is almost 100kg

Pendlay rows suck ass. Ed Coan rows are way more fun.

no

Flat bench, using a cambered barbell is GOAT row

>inb4 muh erectors

Too bad most gyms don't have a row bench and a cambered barbell

Yates row should be higher than bench if you train it regularly

Easy
>Bend over at the side of the squat rack
>Set safety to forehead height
>Rest forehead on safety
>Row

I haven't done Pendlay Rows in a while, but when I did them regularly they were slightly ahead of my bench.
Tested maxes at something like 105kg bench 1RM and 105kg Pendlay 2RM.

I always enjoyed them, probably because they were my strongest lift.
I no longer do them because they're basically just the overlap between deadlift and chinup. Doing them wouldn't add much (besides volume).

are you sure you were doing pendlay rows and not just barbell rows?

My pendlay rows are far below my bench, but my bench to barbell row ratio is similar to yours. Pendlay rows are really form-focussed and as soon as I don't do them explosive and with perfect stable 90 degree bend I consider it a failed rep

I start off the floor and if the bar hits my chest, it's a good rep.

i don't do pendlay rows because i'm not doing Virginlifts 5x5

treat yourself to some actually good row variations, newfriend

Care to elaborate, faggot? What's your favorite row variation?

>not doing yates rows
is it really a coincidence that most 900+ lbs pullers are doing this?

Who's that girl OP? She's really good looking (9/10)

I like kroc crows and underhanded bb rows.

Not true.

>rows
There's no type of row that does anything that can't be accomplished better by doing deadlifts and chinups

Jessica Clements

Simply not true, neither of those exercises will give you a nice looking back and strong rhomboids/mid-lower trapezius

I do them but with a supinated grip now in order to focus on my lats.

60kg
Goal is 100kg, same as my bench. Following Alsruhe's advace of keeping your horizontal press and row the same

>900lb+ pullers

Is it a coincidence that literally none of them are natural?

Flat Bench: 145
Inc Bench: 135
Yates: 165
Pendlay: 150

All 3x5 I should mention.

Pls b kg

>people on gear do yates rows to train their back so that must mean it only works for people on gear

Nope. You break your back, this is the shit you deal with.
