It can be used as a tool, however. My kryptonite is burgers. I fucking love a good burger. So I took Bradly Martins advice and broke up the monotony of clean eating with one cheat meal a week that consists of a hero burger.

Because I have built it into my diet I have ensured that I can still lose weight whilst also making clean eating less miserable.

I envy you. Eating more than maintenance is a constant struggle for me and even though i excersise my gains are incredibly slow because it's so incredibly hard for me to just stuff my face with enough nutrients, i just find it hard to eat when i'm not hungry

You would still lose muscle mass in addition to fat, but at a slower pace since proteins are the building blocks of muscle.

You'd still need some carbohydrates since the brain really does need it to function properly.

The only way you're NOT losing lean bodymass while cutting is by taking stanozolol. But you'll lose a LOT less if you keep eating proteins and lifting while cutting. Although you won't get any stronger.
