I had knee surgery from a mimiscud tear in my knee. So I've been unable to do cardio for months while it heals. I was like 200 at the time. Then b.s. happened and it let myself use shit as an excuse. Recently had finals for 3 classes and promotion at work and was stress eating like crazy.

Last night I saw myself in the mirror and was straight up disgusted.

TL;DR I ate like a fucking pig and didn't go to the gym.

Been lifting on and off for about a year, started to actually take it seriously and start eating properly to bulk a bit in the last 2-3 months.

I don't know what to tell you. I was 202lbs a couple of months ago, then the big heatwaves hit, I increased my cardio, I got off monohydrate, and I started losing weight. I'm still lifting the same weights, however, so my strength hasn't changed. Maybe I'm just dehydrated. I don't know.

People cut when they got decent amount of muslce mass, so they cut that extra fat, so their muscle looks better (muscle definition)

Right now, you don't have enough muslce, so if you cut you will end up looking like a skeleton.

Well, people here think that bulking = eating like a pig and getting more fat than muscle and cutting = starving to death.

I'd suggest him to eat a little above maintance, high protein, moderate carbs and fat, and do HIIT twice a week while also lifting heavy.

That way he would get some decent lean muscle mass without getting too much fat.

If that guy cuts, he will lose any muscle he already has (You can't cut without losing any muslce, unless you are on juice ofcourse) So he will end up looking auschwitz mode
