I heard the donated blood get separated and broken down anyways. I wanna donate because of the health benefits. So even if they can't use it since it's "tainted" I'd still be getting some benefit from the blood draw. I'm just concerned about whether the blood bank is legally allowed to tell my employer

You know how much money it costs to test all the blood donated? Its a business homie, as long as you aren't noticeably high they don't give a shit and they certainly aren't going to test it for anything more than what the fda requires them to. Shit like West nile, zika, hiv, stuff like that.
