This is known as a "dirty bulk". It's, well, "funner", I guess. But you will gain a lot of extra fat as well which means you'll have that much more work to do when it's time to cut. The general consensus is that smaller caloric surpluses/deficits are more efficient in the long run.

That makes no sense. Accuracy is limited by the measurement method. Pinching some skin is not the most accurate way to measure bodyfat.
