The French (English)
The Plantagenets, no question
They should have focused about their island, instead of obssessing over their ancestral homeland
>tfw the plantagenets lost
>tfw we never got a west-euro superstate free from anglo tyranny
>tfw some peasant whore is the only reason we're not all speaking french today
Does anyone have a link to the threads by the 100YW user? Those were easily the best threads Veeky Forums has ever created.
The frogs
The ones that owned England or the ones that held the French throne?
the french, particularly for not honoring the treaty of troyes
You're a gentleman, but weren't there like 6 parts? In any case, very much appreciated.
nvm, I'm a big dummy
>be frog
>make up this "hundred years war" thing to desperately save face
>he doesn't know that the first time they ever refer to themselves as Plantagenets is in the mid 15th century, long after they spoke English as a first language
Its the other way around
The war was actually 116 years long, but the Anglos invented the term "hundred years war" because at that time they were still kinda winning
Both sides of ruling class frog niggers
I dont care as long as the good guys keep growing larger
The French (english)
A continued existence of Burgundy would have been one hell of a change to Europe's power balance
that said, how exactly did it handle the major differences in culture between the northern and southern lands?
The kings of England were getting more and more English on a cultural and linguistical scale, not to mention they now considered themselves English.
ironically though, had they won the 100y war all of that would have been reversed as the most plausible scenario would be any monarch ruling both england and france would do so from Paris
DING DING DING
The English for being a bunch of swash-buckling murderers.
t. frog
>people thinking it was actually england vs france instead of england(france) vs france
>people not realising that the people of "england" were for centuries essentially tossed around and sent to the slaughter over disputes between english(french) and french nobles
>people not realising that by the time "english" and french nobility weren't fucking indistinguishable from one another all disputes over european territories between England and France were settled
>bar king of England from inheriting the throne
>king is complete bro about it and has it proceed like normal
>newly French king decides to take his land anyway
bad guys won that war
tl;dr:
>implying """nations"""" in feudalism
The English French Nobles. Why Should they rule both England and France? The French act only in self defence
