Genuinely useless exercises

t. deltlet

Exercise variation helps with plateaus. There's very few actually useless exercises.

In this thread: dyels

>there is very few actually useless exercises
chest flys.

...

This helps great with my rear delts and upper back

Ask me how I know you look like you don't lift.

>momentum curls in the squat rack detected

I do them during my shoulder warmup.

I think kipping pulllups are pretty useless

>chest flys useless
You have been watching to many meme youtube videos.

Probably because you can do 1. Gymnasts train with them for a reason

Saying basic accessory lifts are shit because they look dyel

Kipcuck detected. Suicide is the only option. I can do 10 pull ups easy arms locked out after every rep. Its called not being obese

...

Tricep kickbacks are objectively the worst tricep exercise, and therefore useless.

But kickbacks are objectively inferior to overhead triceps extensions and dips.

this

>t, assblasted crossfag

never seen a guy in the vagina stretching machine

Wew lad, I didn't have a good look and I thought it was a dumbbell row

...

Good way to destroy your shoulder with no real strength benefits

he thinks those weights just standing next to him will somehow help him?

they couldn't find a guy to sit on that machine so they had to make it all CGI

Is this right at all? I do chest flies and back flies and they both felt like they were doing a lot.

I just added them on to my regular exercises, maybe you swapped them something out for them?

Never gonna make it

Gymnasts train them if they do uneven bars, or maybe single bar, because they use them to get onto the bar, and gives you a bit of rotation.

They aren't optimal for any kind of strength training. Do rings if you want to get big arms. Doing an iron cross is almost impossible.

If you're doing them like your pic then yes
Rest your forehead on a incline bench retard so it's all rear delts.

>Being an ass/thighlet
Maxed it about 2 months ago, feels great. The stares I get from jelly cardiobunnies that can barely lift 100 lbs is a great bonus as well.

>Genuinely useless exercises
Posting on Veeky Forums

Good mornings, leg extensions, tricep kickbacks

>good mornings

Hello posterior chainlet

Agree with the other two though

>being proud about maxing weight on a machine

>not trying to catch pussy by hitting 230 on hip abductions

Have fun with your virginity

Kickbacks hit my triceps really well, better than many accessories. you're probably using too much weight and doing then incorrectly if you're not feeling it

>Not being proud about personal achievments, no matter how small they seem to others
How's that self esteem going, user

I would say this exercise is useful but obsolete, facepulls do its job better.

Kek

Kickbacks are shit, do LTEs if you want a real tricep exercise.

Having maxing out on machines as a goal is literally for DYELs.

AW FUCK I FORGOT TO DO MY CHEST FLIES YESTERDAY ON CHEST DAY!!!

LADS WILL I EVEN FUCKING MAKE IT!?

I. FUCKED. UP!

There's not a single DYEL maxing out 250lbs for wide grip lat pulldowns I guarantee you that.

It takes nearly a 2/3/4/5 to do that.

why are chest flys bad and what's the substitute?

Chest flies are fine, they're just stupid to do while laying on a bench since the resistance is only at its max while your arms are out to the sides.

Cable chest flies provide constant resistance.

barbell flyes

...

Gymnasts use them so they don't waste their strength while doing a routine. You will never find a serious gymnast who doesn't train using strict pullup motions

ring pull ups?

Can I fix my knock knees with this shit?

Pretty much the only answer in the thread that isn't difference of autism. There are better exercises for core that also don't destroy your spine.

So much this. Finally someone who gets it

I can tell you're one of the DYELs who's goal is to max out a machine.

Lmao @urlife

I do lots of sit ups in my Calisthenics routine, is there something else I could do?

>inb4 lol Calisthenics

>he doesn't do anything to strengthen hip stabilizers
Enjoy your injuries

Been looking for a back body-weight exercise that doesn't suck for ages now.

Pic related makes me feel retarded. Like imagine if someone walks in on you doing this

>penispushup.jpg

I do them as part of a rotisserie core exercise but I never feel a 30 second hold anywhere

I have. Usually ripped guys, bodybuilder tier.

Imagine some one doing a crow stand then.

>working out at home

>dad comes home during my crowstand

>ass high up in the air

>he chuckles.

>names one of the most important accessories know to mankind

spotted the dyel

This exercise is great but I see a lot of people doing it with a dumbbell which is completely useless, unless you have your elbows flared out and you're doing it vertically.

>watching guys warm up before chest/shoulders by doing this with a dumbbell or 5lb plate

it's so common yet absolutely useless, you may as well not even hold a weight

DELET THIS

People who aren't obese on the cross trainer

I do max out the machine for lat pulldowns, but my deadlift is nearly 500lbs and my dead hang full width grip pullups are at 10 reps.

Maxing out a machine feels great and it takes forever so it's a pretty good goal.

It's a good warmup. Get's all your joints moving.

hanging leg raises, ab wheel

its the goat warmup you retard

chest flys are good to isolate the chest without having to use any triceps. candito talked about how good of a chest movement it actually is.

they're pretty good for learning to keep your knees out on a squat.

yes. a lot of the reason why knees cave in is because you have weak hip abductors.

there are no useless exercises scrubs

It isn't useless, it just may have a higher injury chance than something like chest crossover.

Great for stretching after heavy bench

plenty of low-result, high-effort time-wasting exercises out there, kiddo

romanian deadlifts/stiffleg deadlifts achieve the same movement without a bar on your spine

It’s a tie between squats and deadlift.

Basically mini snatches. Good for posterior chain / back.

Single leg extensions can be bretty good for unilateral work if your quads are a weak point in a squat. You'd know that if you could squat a decent amount of weight. Also they're good for knee health.

>your dick can support your whole weight?

>... Well... Not at first.. But over time

>purposely working internal rotators
Enjoy your fucked shoulders faggot
You are right however, flailing around a dumbbell in any direction that isn't up or down (because gravity) doesn't do shit.

Wut? Why are inny and outies bad? When I do them my shoulders feel great. Are you saying that it could cause internal rotation?

Fat cunt

he's saying deliberately targeting the muscles that internally rotate your shoulders is stupid because internal shoulder rotation is what causes shoulder imbalance/posture issues most of the time anyway

do the same movement but with the resistance going the other way so that you're strengthening the external rotators

The bar is not on your spine, and they while very similar are not the same, the loading from a good morning is slightly different and therefore has different effects. They're completely safe if you stay within yourself.

That's great for you user, but it's still a hilarious and DYEL goal.

I like to use this at the end of my leg day, plus it gives you a sweet ass

yeah only serious lifters do this

...

this. After sitting in my computer at home and my car at work, I need all the leg movement I can get and these vagina workouts are the best

This

How about anything involving elastic bands?

There's no useless exercise, OP.
The finger is put on those exercises that really matter to your goals. Example,..I wouldn't work abs if I aim to strength, in that case crunches are useless according to your words.

Actually this is a really good warm-up exercise, my man.

agreed. do decline medball crunches.

Sumo deadlifts

>variation helps breaking plateus
How fucking clueless is this board ?

The only tricep extension variation that doesn't give me elbow pain.

so what exercise is better for rear delts?

kys

>Not just doing 5pl8 barbell glute bridges with loud manly grunts.
NEVER GONNA MAKE IT
