be honest, how many beers a day can i have without hurting my gains?
i'm not talking about calories but rathet the alcohol itself. the only way i can even ear a pound of pasta is to drink beer with it and i usually have 2 beers a day.

I average a 6 pack a day and 3 times that amount on Fridays and Saturdays
Still lifting 1/2/3/4 but my progress is slower than it used to be so yeah alcohol definitely takes a toll
You can make gains but they won't be nearly as good as they could have been if you stopped drinking entirely

I drink around 60-70 beers a month and it doesn't seem to impact my gains. Of course, I was drinking when I started lifting years ago so maybe it actually does hurt my gains and I'm shortchanging myself...
Alcohol doesn't kill gains, it just gives you a lot of extra calories that aren't necessarily beneficial. It obviously depends on what type of alcoholic drink you consume though.
Drinking daily is how you get gyno due to phytoestrogens. Either drink some other form of alcohol like wine or drink only once a week.

1/2/3/4 doesn't mean your body weight times 1/2/3/4, but plates. 1 plate = 135lbs, 2 plate = 225lbs, 3 plate = 315lbs, 4 plate = 405lbs. For example 1 plate meaning 1 plate on each side + the bar, so that's 3 x 45lbs = 135lbs.
daily drinking is a good way to slide into alcoholism. People think "2 beers in the evening aren't dangerous" or "that won't happen to me, I take care". Guess what, most alcoholics did not start with daily liquor consumption but with this exact "harmless" comsumption.
