Started lifting about a month ago, just hit 1 plate bench so I'm happy about that

Started lifting last year in a quest to be THICC but my starting point of skinnyfat and little knowledge of nutrition put me more at FAT FUCC status pretty quickly so I'm trying to correct that. Just kind of lying around losing weight with little motivation to actually lift because the calorie deficit has me feeling weak and tired.

I might lift today but the knowledge that it isn't gonna make me any bigger or stronger because I'm barely eating makes it seem pointless. Guess I'll just smoke weed and do chores or something. 15 more pounds to go from fat DYEL to regular DYEL.

Same guy here, I was in your seat started lifting at age 18 and now I'm 26. I did a lot of bro splits got back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and no progression.
Dropped it all this may started a strength routine, basic compound lifts. Body feels a lot better, and my strength gone up drastically.
