I've known quite a few people who were very intelligent who were also quite obese.

Then again, all of these people were very realistic about their obesity. They'd be the first to call themselves fat and never seemed to be in any denial about the fact that they were responsible for their weight and that it made them unattractive.

I've seen several of these people decide to get their weight under control and they are usually successful at losing weight once they decide they want to.

This. I've lost almost 100 lbs and almost all I eat is frozen meals/foods and I still eat something sweet almost every day. It's so easy as long as I stick to stuff that is pre-portioned and keep track of the calories.
