Is it a joke?
What are peoples personal experiences with it?

Gives you like an extra 2 extra reps, and you gain a shit ton of weight from water.
my buddy back in high school decided to try it once, landed him in the hospital for 3 weeks. he's never been the same since.
jesus fuck, OP, read up just a tiny bit next time
This. That water weight gets you looking TIGHT tho
Just curious as to peoples personal experiences with it dude, not after hard scientific facts
allows you to lift more. which in turn helps gains. so indirect, but strong effect on muscle growth / strength gains. also yes increases your water weight. so don't be surprised if you gain a couple of kgs after starting to use it, it is not fat (and well, not really muscle either). i use it regularly and think it is really helpful.
I gained 5 pounds of water in the first week.
i just take it i dont really know what it does
Closest thing to a legal steroid, I used it for a few weeks but it gave me stomach cramps at night, my brother used it for several years and is now going bald, there's 3 of us he's the middle child and is the only one going bald
There's also other anecdotal evidence on bodybuilding websites about people's hair thinning on creatine
>
pretty much
Creatine binds to water, then muscle, increasing muscle mass without building fibre.
There are theories as to whether or not the increased size can actually increase strength directly or if it's only through the release of hormones and such from feeling better.
I feel an increase in strength but I've never studied it scientifically on myself, and I have known my mind to have a drastic effect on my physique.
so is the water retention true? how can you even tell?
I always throw the daily creatine dose which is 8 grams into my protein shakes, I don't expect it to work or not, I just don't lose anything by adding it to the shake.
If you take creatine, you almost instantly gain like 5 lbs water weight and it's very obvious
I'm not even joking, creatine made me lose about an inch to my hairline...
I took it four years ago and noticed some receding, did some research and saw that it MAY cause balding so I stopped using it, after 4 years I thought it probably wasn't the creatine its a myth. Took it for 5 days and I lost about another few cm from my hairline which has already been PERMANENTLY brought back from when I took it four years ago. I was waking up with several hairs on my face and pillow and would notice hairs just falling out during the day
I know that some people take it and nothing happens but personally it definitely did something, also people saying it only increases the speed of balding if your inclined to be bald, my dad has a full head of hair, so does his dad, so does my other grandad and so does my brother. Yet I now have the worst hairline in my family.
BE YE WARNED
Some might say it's the ultimate placebo
ZERO (0) effect on me, fucking money wasting garbage
Was your friend a supreme gentleman, per se?
My hair started thinning and my hairline got fucked up at 18. I should have researched more before I started taking it
Not disputing your conclusion that creatine ruins hair, but I've always heard hairline genetics come from the mother's side.
My family has a history of full heads of hair on both sides but I've definitely noticed my hair thinning since I started taking it, and it worries me. Another thing is I'm approaching 30 so that could also just be a part of getting older.
why are americans so obsessed with balding and they blame it on everything
Same here
For those that can't tell the trolls: creatine does not affect your hair in any way.
The bottle says to take one scoop. I took half a scoop because I heard the stories, and I started shivering and blacked out. I woke up with a pump from hell, and a bloody nose.
Everyone in my family has hair, my grandad was a silver fox with hair like Ted Danson on my mums side, my uncle on her side also has a full head of hair, there is also the link between when I took creatine and the noticeable difference in how much I receeded
>Trying to figure out ways to bring back my hairline before its too late
>Any time someone asks a question on forums everyone goes apeshit because people are insulting MUH CREATINE
Helped me put on weight fast, and had mild strength gains.
I was weighing myself every day when I was taking creatine. The weight gain was very noticeable.
Only sides I got from creatine was bloat, strength gain, and weight gain in water. Hair is fine
Some people have enough creatine in storage as it is in their bodies. Especially if they eat enough red meat. Never personally gained anything from taking it. Other people seem to do, though. Try it out and see for yourself. If you don't fall for some TOP CREATINE X2O MASSACRE FORMULA INCAPSULATED XXL meme you can just buy plain monohydrate which won't cost you much to try out.
You gain a bunch of water weight. The effects of strength seem minimal. I stopped taking if because it made me feel nauseas.
It affected mine
It's intramuscular water weight so it makes you look more jacked. That's opposed to subcutaneous water weight which makes you look bloated, like from salt.
Yes, this happens when you're predisposed to make pattern baldness.
Does it make your face bloated from water too?
I ran a basic test cycle and made some decent gains and decided to do a creatine + test cycle for my second adventure into steroids
halfway into week three I ended up biting off half a policeman's ear after being pulled up on a routine stop
evil stuff
day3. nothing happened.
will wait for another 2 weeks
same but apple cider vinegar fixed it/negated further thinning
Creatine turns water into calories so you can eat a scoop of creatine and just never eat again as long as you drink a gallon of water per day. Its truely great.
Basically has been proven in multiple studies to increase energy, so you can perform a few more reps = faster gains (to a degree). Pulls water into muscle so you will be carrying a little extra weight around. HAS been proven to increase chances of male pattern baldness, only in one study that I know of. Personally I'm going bald anyway so I don't give a fuck, :)
why did you start taking shit go young wtf
I think it made my face bloated :(
READ THE STICKY
Im pretty sure my hair got thinner when I was on creatine two months ago. Its fine now.
Only other effect except the water retention was faster recovery.
Not worth it.
it likely does in some individuals. mine definitely got weakened, but recovered
It works but for the cost it's really barely worth it in my experience.. maybe a 5% boost in your gas tank
