The fact that you believe that a taller man could defeat a shorter male in any form of combat is, frankly, absurd.

This is because height-challenged men have a lot of resistances levied against them, talking about gravitation here. Whereas the shorter man can project a greater degree of force and is not tethered by the bonds of gravity to the extent the 5'10+ individual is.
