Barefoot/minimalist shoes

I'm looking for minimalist/"barefoot" shoes without those nasty ass toe seperations.

Pic related for what I'm looking for, that would be perfect if it wasn't for those toe seperations

Thanks

I own Vibrams, Merrells, Lems, Frees and Xeros. Xeroshoes are the best minimal shoe by far. Check out their Primus.

I meant Xero Prio

No, those are shoes. Seriously. Socks with a rubberized sole.

Phenomenal shoe once you've worked them in

Both. I'd prefer to have this for general use aswell.

Merell makes something called the Trail Glove and it's top notch. Minimalist while still looking normal.

What makes Xeros better than all those other brands? I'm looking for shoes I can wear for lifting and everyday wear

I originally got into the minimalist thing after one of my buddies told me try running barefoot for my shinsplints. I was a convert after the first mile.

At the time there were Vibrams and Vivos. The Vibrams wrre alright but the smell of death was a drawback. And the vivos were too god damn expensive.

I remembered back to when I was a kid and in "Indian Guides" a YMCA boy scouts rip-off. And we made deerskin mocs one year.

>went to tandy leather
>acquired deer hide, artificial sinew, and leather awl
>cut pattern
>sew
>go for run next morning
>fucking awesome

As the soles wear i just cut the stitching and replace it.

Out of one whole hide you've got years of material.
The trick is to cut the pattern snug but not tight. The hide will stretch and conform to your foot.
