Well having too much sugar in everything because people demand more and more or they say "it tastes bad" is probably the reason. Even fucking potato soup has sugar in it (I just bought some and it had like 2 grams of sugar). It's harder to buy things that are packaged that have no sugar, you really have to eat organic food like veggies and meats and just stay away from anything in a box or can.

Butter & oil are BOTH shit my dude , there is nothing wrong with the saturated fat in coconut or cocoa or the poly-in sat omega 6 in nuts when they're eaten as part of the food they naturally come from and in reasonable quantity . The popscience about fat is literally trying to convince people that lard , butter & olive oil are healthy , they're not , they're isolated macro and are on par with sugar and any other kind of oil in term of being health-food .

What makes a good milk chocolate? Is there even such a thing? I really like 90%+ dark chocolate, but recently I've been wanting something more milky. Do they make milk chocolate with little to no sugar and added fats?

Milk chocolate is really too sweet. 95% dark chocolate is great on the other hand, especially if you drink milk while eating it.

Mass produced stuff is in general pretty awful. White chocolate shouldn’t even be called chocolate.

If you’re on a shitty bulk you learn to appreciate cheap chocolate though and get a taste for it. When you need to force 600 calories fast for under a dollar it’s just an easy fix.

Some people, especially people who end up getting fat, can never allow themselves to eat as much as they want, because they want to eat until they puke. I'm pretty fit nowadays, however I know that if I let myself loose, even on a bulk, i'll gain some serious fat. You should be glad that you have a healthy relationship with food - days when I eat nicely without thinking about it a lot are some of the best days I have.

This. If I eat ad libitum I will literally eat until I'm so sick that I can't move without getting sick for the entire next day after. I can easily pound 6,000+ calories in a single day just from oats, milk, pb and eggs.

As a former fatty, I can say this is close to true. I used to eat until my stomach hurt during dinner almost daily if my parents let me.

Yeah, I never actually ate until I puked neither - but until I felt terribly ill for sure. And hitting 5k+ is a breeze.
I found that restricting myself on the basic level of counting calories, or at least estimating calories if I'm bulking and it's okay to eat a little, really helped me. Nowadays I can even allow myself some freedom: I know I can eat small amounts during the day if I want to allow myself a big meal, or going hard on the drinks that evening, but I still always have to watch myself. Never let go. It's a long, hard process to develop healthy eating habits.
