In theory, would be possible to build muscle while losing fat by doing IF? Let's say you do 16/8 during the 16hours you're at a caloric deficit for theae specific hours and burn fat. You're at a caloric surplus for the 8 specific eating hours so in theory should you be able to build muscle in this time frame?

Your body gets much more efficient with protein recycling during fasting, even more if you're fat adapted and can do 5+ day fasts, so you only really need about 120g at most if you're doing OMAD

I know this is anecdotal, but I'm getting pretty strong boners on PSMF (fasting) right now. I'm 1 week in so far. It's basically a 1500 calorie deficit for me, but I actually couldn't get it up when I only cut at a 1000 calorie deficit.

Sleeping on PSMF is fucking rough though.

Only do an extended if you can easily survive 2 and 3 day fasts

yes you can workout, you can safely do about 80% of your RM for your 3-5 rep lifts on extended fasts, but only for about the first 3 days on your first 7 day. As your metabolic health rises and your mitochondria adapt, you'll get more energy and can handle more anaerobic work through lifting.

It does break down muscle but the HGH boosts are fucking insane over a long term fasts, and you should def come out of it stronger and leaner

How many days? could be keto breath if it's 3+ days you've been fasting, on account that pure acetone is a ketone body

I'm doing IF (20/4) for 3 weeks now and I am feeling really good and everything is fine, but when I water fasted for 72 hours last week, I got some problems on the third day.
Weak knees, headaches and feeling all around bad (like a light flu).
I did not take any supplements.

I want to do another 72 hours next week. What do I have to take to not feel like shit?

That's about it in terms of supplements. What you felt was probably keto flu. You should be fine with another 72 hours, I don't even feel it anymore I've fasted so many times.

If your body is not used to burning fat for fuel this happens the more you fast the less it happens
