There are some genetic differences between Nords and Anglo-Saxons (especially if you take into account the early assimilated Celts). Of course the two groups have mixed plenty over the years in England and he probably has more Saxon ancestry than Norse, but as i understand it he has more of the latter than most Englishmen.
