How are most guys in the military so jacked?

How are most guys in the military so jacked?

Most aren't

Roids.
>Inb4 they can't do that in the Army
Yes, they do

/thread

most of them arn't jacked
most of them are in good shape
normies get that shit mixed up

Explain the pic then beta boy

>One guy
>Most

Thats not even a uniform, thats just some body builder

anyone in the field roids, marines get adderall as well

roids mostly but the ones that do roids later end up doing meth and ruin all their progress.

most of 'em are just athletic

okay so as someone whos actually in the military >inb4 fight for jew
most jacked guys are stupid jobs like mechanics or the mail clerk because their jobs are most like a 9-5 with usually a 2 hour lunch break. grunts or guys actually laying lead down range on a fast optempo usually are in the field shooting things or standing around in the woods 3 weeks out of the month, resulting in most of them being skinnyfat but cardio beasts. ive seen people who look worse than the trucrypt guy run a 17 minute 3 mile and the biggest guy in the battalion fail to do 25 pushups

also the only people who roid are senior enlisted for the most part. anyone who calls roids is a faggot and probably doesnt know what theyre talking about

Armyfag here.
Most People in the military being jacked is a joke. Honestly, most people in the military even being halfway fit is a joke. I made a 293 on my last pt test and that was with me almost passing out. But 4 people in my platoon failed their PT test by a very large margin. Don't get me wrong, I go to the gym every day, and the people here who are ripped, are FUCKING RIPPED. But "most guys"? Don't make me laugh. Or better yet, don't remind me to be disappointed in them.

Also, I forgot to mention, roidheads aren't common, but they're also not rare.

Where you stationed brah?

>The water marks
>holding a pistol in one hand
Are you a poo?

Possibly gay porn?

Army Vet here:
1. Most aren't (largely due to high booze intake)
2. Forced physical training helps a lot. Makes it easier to be in shape.

Roids would have made my life a hell of a lot more awesome in the military. They really should just put everyone on them standard (at least a cruising dosage). Because lets be honest, with all the shit you have to wear/carry/drag having an extra chunk of muscle and faster recovery time would be fucking magic.

> If he's not in the military, then how did he get the hat, college boy?

camp lejuene, crayon eater here

Vet here again: this post all fucking day. And let's be honest: military training for PT is to complete a test designed for WWI physical standards to be done without equipment while modern Soldiers really should be less running/calestenically focused and more focused on rucking their asses for 10 miles and being strong enough to carry a full grown human and all of that person's gear while also carrying all of their own.

Basically military guys would be better being ripped, but due to the way the physical fitness is tested the push is less for ripped guys and more for Jack Fucking Skellington and his ability to run a fast 2 mile.

Army Navy Store?

This. Weight lifting should have been manditory in the marines. It would have made the real deal easier in the modern age.

I heard a rumor that special ops guys are actually assigned steroid cycles. Is it true?

depending on what unit you're in, your NCOs might make you lift as a boot. Mine did, part of PT and "self improvement" they said and I'm glad they did.

I also found out you lose a shit ton of weight on deployment, went from like 160 to 135 when I was on deployment, between the ops and getting sick it couldn't be helped. Managed to bring it up back to 180 when I got home though

You must be referring to another country's military

All combat arms, medical, mechanics, basically if you are expected to potentially need to lift something even somewhat heavy they should have you lift.

It's not like there aren't gyms everyfucking where in the military and even some kettle bell shit is better than the common stuff they have us do.

Was never special ops but I wouldn't be shocked. If I could go back in time I'd do a lot differently, and roiding is one of those things I should have done much sooner in life.

Depends on the branch and job. For example a submariner in the navy probably doesn't have the time or space to lift and diet. But a POG in the marines will have plenty of time to get jacked. Infantry guys are either skinny as fuck or on roids. Hard to get huge when you're burning 8,000 calories a day in field ops.

There are definitely a lot of jacked dudes in the military but certainly not all military dudes are jacked, many aren't in good shape at all. But definitely more big guys 4U on average. There are a few reasons for this.

First off, even in the pussy branches (AF and navy) physical fitness is a part of daily life for the most part so it's somewhat embedded in the culture. In a lot of jobs the stronger you are the easier your job is, so why not invest in your profession?

Next, all military bases/ships have free gyms and many servicemembers have a lot of free time on their hands. There was a saying in my unit that when you're in Okinawa you either become a gym rat or an alcoholic.

Lastly, and probably the biggest reason is because many dudes in the military are alphas, wannabe alphas, insecure, vain, or feel that they have something to prove. Usually a combination of a couple or all of these things. When you put a bunch of young men like that together they're constantly competing with eachother to find out who is the biggest, strongest, fastest etc. it's a bunch of dudes trying to impress eachother, it's actually kinda gay.

I work at a military installation as a contractor and most aren't

>...First off, even in the pussy branches (AF and navy)
Installation I work at is army (although other branches have representation) and is intended for training (therefore there is a disproportionate amount of young 20s) and most are simply healthy rather than jacked.

Canadian forces

Depends on the job really, being jacked like a power lifter sometimes doesn't work with certain roles, like others said, it's much better to be lean and mean than huge.

The support trades seem to be full of mostly fatties or the odd powerlifting type. Combat arms has a heavy focus on running/ ruck marches so the young ones are slimmer and tend to get fatter as the rank up and get lazy, we have a trade dedicated to search and rescue with a reputation for being mentally and physically hard as fuck and I've never seen a even a slightly heavy type, only slim and fit, pic is of them

Common phrase in the military is " sweat more in peacetime, bleed less in wartime"

If your life depended on it your would work your ass off too

No different than firefighter academy. I went to a state academy. It was alot of running and alot of crossfit-esque type training before actual drills.

My only reasoning behind it is the obvious, most of us die to cardiovascular problems. Since most of us stick around until 55+ and of that most many are still riding backwards to alarms, instilling good cardio in the beginning is not a bad idea.

Temps upwards of 500 degrees for periods of 10 or more minutes breathing through a straw while carrying 100lbs does one hell of a job to your heart. I'm assuming in the infantry there are similar strenuous activities that do the same.

Or they're ottermode

lifting in a submarine would be pretty dope btw

I hear at Boot you guys got gyms in the back of the squad bays.

At OCS its a fucking test of who can still survive PT with no food or sleep because to get in you have to all be getting 300s on the PFT to start.

Atleast thats the way it was when I went. Went in at 210 lbs in perfect shape with perfect PFT, by week 3/10 I was 195. By graduation I could barely do 14 pull ups or run worth a damn.

And thats with me cutting into the already pathetic amount of sleep time alloted to go into the hallway to do pullups, squat with a loaded pack, and do raises with the cinderblock we used as the door jam.

Fuck Qunatico.

But thats officer training, anybody can be in shape on their own schedule. Try to do it while leading Marines and in the field. Thats the real challenge they are seeing you can handle or not.

Fking saved!

most guys in our military are fat lol

t. leaf

Surely spec ops and elite units need to be jacked or at least big?

Royals marines, marines, sas, delta etc

When serving in the Norwegian military we had a bunch of our SF on base, there were 2 pretty big guys, but most were 'normal', you couldn't tell

so jacked

Lol, this thread

For the civilians out there, just be glad you’re not in the military. Just picture 20 guys shoveling a driveway with toothbrushes, there’s more efficient ways to get the job done, but you’ll work harder and longer and maybe get a little fit in the process.

>tfw engy crew on ship
>tfw bitches keep flushing their tampons and shit
>clogs and fucks up the pumps
>it’s all so tiresome

Do you think crossfit conditioning is useful for battle?
Or would you just go with heavy lifting?
What about hiit stuff?

kekked

>salil al sawarim

I gained 40 pounds after my first year in the air force.

When your a corpsman in the Navy and run a 300 CFT and 18 min PFT better then half the marines your attached to.....and I'm the pussy

Roids.
They were everywhere when i was stationed in korea, and they were super easy to get when I was stationed back home in virginia.

They make marches genuinely enjoyable. No fatigue is orgasmic.

This desu. Fucking supply guys doing pull ups with a full combat load, getting jacked and shit. Meanwhile I'm in the field smoking cigs.

>I hear at Boot you guys got gyms in the back of the squad bays.

Not in enlisted Recruit Training, what we are allowed to do is to do bodyweight or calisthenics during the hour of "free" time we eventually get after the first month or so. Most fags use that time to take long showers or write/read letters though. I got fucked with a lot half way during boot so I was pretty wore out by that point of the day.

Chair force here. We make fun of the fat people, and if you don't want to get shit on by everyone, you'd better go to the gym during deployments.
t. Aircraft mechanic

Different 11B vet here. Never saw roids but then again never sought them out. The real juicers are the former SF guys who go on to work for Blackwater etc. Those guys are fucking monsters. Basically Space Marines next to your typical Army bulletstopper.
