I don't know. I tried having some tap water in America once. I was sick for three days. Also, it's apparently full of microplastics and other pollutants such as estrogen.

Yes it's fine and most people drink tap water at home and in restaurants.

The giant jugs are for offices and stores that don't have drinking fountains or are in an area where the water doesn't taste good (many rural areas still have well water). They're set up on a dispenser.
