been drinking homemade shakes consisting of
-100g peanut butter (1000~kcal)
-25g choco spread
-100g~ cheap vanilla ice cream
-topped off with about 500ml of full fat milk

>went from 63kg to 73kg in 3 months drinking this shit daily, surprisingly hardly any fat gain, v happy with results
>goal is 80kg for christmas
>haven't put any weight on in a month still drinking the shakes
>scared i'm going to cause damage to my arteries etc with this poor diet choice
>heart feels weird/uncomfortable after drinking it each night

am i being a bitch & overreacting and do i carry on and increase food intake or should i give a few months break

The fat from peanut butter is healthy, and there is controversy whether or not the fat from milk is healthy or not. I'd say just continue doing it as long as most of your other choices are guaranteed healthy.

My diet other than these shakes is generally decent, I mainly eat eggs, oats, tuna and pasta etc, haven't really got an appetite for shit food but have a mcdonalds approx once a week

where is the magnesium in your diet coming from? it's one of the most important things.

Never looked at magnesium as a supplement before but looking at the foods that contain it i generally have a banana every day

Eat more vegetables, they might not be super useful for gaining mass. They will really make you feel much better in your diet though. And if you actually care about health, then obviously lots of veges will be very good.

Thing is I'm looking at consuming 3000kcals a day to put on a moderate amount of weight which is only barely possible with my lifestyle by consuming these quick shakes

here is how to prepare something that is fine for you even for extended time.

add to a shaker:

oats (2-3 fingers width from the bottom of the shaker)
pb (1-3tbspn)
full milk to the top
1-2scoops protein
shake hard
leave it in the fridge for 6 hours minimum but best for 12 hours.
this is 1000+ calories

it tastes great and there is no need for a blender, oats provide lots of protein and calories.

If you can, i would advise you to remove as much of the high sugar junk food in the shake.
The chocolate spread isn't really doing anything for you. Ice-cream also isnt ideal.
Try to eat as many good foods as you can. Roast potatoes, oats, nuts, good meat and whatever else before you have your >1000cal meals, as its going to be better for you in the long run eating proper food rather than super calorie dense, fatty and sugary foods.

The reason for that is, having very sugary meals regularly causes large insulin spikes in your blood.
Over a long time, this is a major cause of diabetes as you develop a resistance to insulin.
Do some more research into that if you're interested.

There's only about 30g of sugar in it and i hardly consume any in my diet anyway so sugar isn't an issue, also i'm not after lean mass i prefer the thicc daddy look

since you're eating foods that are very high in fat you might be having heartburn which is mistaken for heart pain. i get it from just 1 tiny can of albacore tuna, and my wife gets it from peanut butter i think. i'd wager you need to increase your carb intake, like eating rice and potatoes for weight gain.
