I maybe a nut or something

I maybe a nut or something

I have no pictures in my place, no pictures of me, no pictures of my big family, no painting on the walls

Is there something wrong with me? Do other people have pictures everywhere for a reason??

Just put up some pictures of your gf

I only have pics of high lord wolnir hung up in my house. How is the fit related you fucking aspie?? Go bench tomorrow like a good lad and stop screeching to Veeky Forums about this nonsense

My what?

errr yeah, because I like my surroundings to be beautiful. That's why I don't live in a brown city or hang out at walmart.

right now I'm looking at the Bosch triptych in front of my bed

Dali's Temptation of St. Anthony above my bed

Klimt's kiss above my sofa

God Speed on another wall

It's called "being a guy"

The Consummation of Empire in my hallway

Used to have a huge print of this in the hall. Got a lot of mires actually

End of Evangelion poster above my toilet

Are you me? I would have a marble bust of Plato if I could find one. Even gypsum would make it, but I can't find one.

I live in a shitty apartment and everyone tells me how much they love it, even though most of the stuff I have up is from Ikea or cheap poster stores in cheap frames. Good art is still good art. I'd love more actual reproductions but I'm not a richfag

I don’t have any pictures or paintings up either, but I have a bunch of flags hanging around my apartment

I've got a marble statuette of David I got at Caesars casino. pretty nice little thing

No, I haven't decorated my apartment either. Of course, I know it's a temporary accommodation, so that's part of the reason.

>flags
talk about frat house tier decorating

buddy posters can be hung up with 2 dollar poster tack. prints cost like 15 dollars each. not that hard, you just prefer barren walls to match your barren soul

I moved overseas and I try to travel light.

But I suppose I could buy something how that I'm here. I won't though, so maybe you are right. I barely even have furniture.

sounds like my dad

very depressing though desu but since its ~temporary~ nothing matters.

If you moved overseas, there should be local cultural things that interest you enough to buy and hang up and then bring them home then you leave

meh what am I kidding you either like this shit or you don't. I've spent my last hundred dollars on a persian rug before. I'm into aesthetics

I'm not big into art, but recently bought a magazine about the "100 master pieces" on a whim because I didn't want to spend the 3 hours on the train staring at my phone.

Good stuff. The once I linked above I know from that magazine.

A bit disappointed now that they didn't include Dali's Dali's Temptation of St. Anthony Be open minded bro's - lifting may be life, but it shouldn't consume you.

cool sorta magazine. I've got some art books just because I'm interested in the subject, but I also like painting so that's why. I also hang up maps and postcards.

should also recommend a Pendleton to you fags, there's no better blanket to have sex on. and then cuddle up under. oh wait you're all virgins .__.

I don't have any pictures either and my walls are all blank and white. People put up pictures and decorate their home, because it triggers positive memories and emotions in them and to them it helps make their house or apartment actually "feel" like home and not just a place where they are staying temporarily. I don't put up pictures, don't decorate my house or paint the walls, it's a waste of time and energy to me, but if you do have pictures, just put some up at a place you pass by every day and see how it makes you feel. What's there to lose? Also, when visitors come to your house they will look at the way you decorated your home, the pictures, etc., it gives them a lot of information about you and you might want to use that to your advantage.

decorating your house is far less a waste of time than posting on a bhutanese silkworm spinning forum

That' assuming you already have things to decorate it with and you aren't moving out again in a few months or as soon as something comes up. Where I live the majority of the population don't own a house. I've moved places 4 times in the last 8 years or so. I actually try to own as few things as possible, so if I have to move again I have to take fewer things with me. Just don't see the point of putting pictures up and so on if I might have to pack all my shit again and move out soon after.

You're living a very noble lifestyle in all honesty. Having stuff means nothing. It's just an anchor.

Friendly reminder that decorating your walls with photographs, posters, printouts, reproductions or anything that isn't a unique piece of traditional media art is pleb tier tasteless faggotry and you're better off leaving the walls empty.

There was a point in my life where I wanted to "be happier" so I figured what I need to do is think of all the things in my life that reduced my happiness and cut them out and think of all the things that make me happier and have more of them. That's where I realized that material possessions added very little value / happiness to my life. I'd like to embrace a minimalistic lifestyle some day.

it's tasteless to only be able to afford prints? I love stopping when I pass one of mine and staring at it and studying it, your opinion is just hipster bespoke nonsense. are you color blind as well?

things don't bring you happiness, but things can interest you. my books and art and may be annoying to move with, but they give me something to do when I'm in my apartment that isn't TV or the computer

Yeah, I'm not saying you should get rid of aĺl the things you own, just those that don't make your life significantly better. If you really enjoy your books and art you should keep them. They mean more to you / have more value to you than their material value, so they are actually perfect examples of the things I would recommend having more of in your life.
