/nyrg/ NEW YEARS RESOLUTION GENERAL: New fags get in here after readying the stickyedition

Greetings Veeky Forumsizens and soon to be Veeky Forumsizens!

Rather than overwhelm this board with questions about how to obtain your 2018 goals with endless threads, post your questions in here and you'll get the best advice you can find on the Internet.

Whether you're a /pol/ack getting ready for the race war or a /r9k/ robot hoping to finally hold a girls hand other than your grandmoms after 45 years on this planet, we're here to help.

How much do I have to lift before I get a gf

I have not hit the gym consistently in about 7 years or so. I am a bit tubby, and lack that starting motivation. Should I be using thermogentics (hydroxycut for example) when I first start out?

I just wanna hit 3pl8 front squat and 5pl8 back squat

Anything legal is basically useless. Just eat at a deficit.

how tall is the 6'0 guy

literally just lift.

researching lifting wont make you look better, and a rough routine would just make you quit like a bitch.

Just randomly lift things and enjoy your noobgains until 6months when you've made significant gains and need a proper routine

ECA stack or DNP, don't waste money on fat burners

My goals for 2018
>Learn Japanese
>Get GF
>Make more friends
>Go outside more
>Dress better
And the most important resolution...
>Finally make it

I'm planning to do the murph this sunday. Then on dec 31 2018 I'll do it again. My goal is to get it down to 40 min with a 20 pound vest.
also
>gf

this with exception of learning japanese

6'

- Hitting 200 lbs
- Hitting 1/2/3/4 (three injuries have stopped me from achieving this in the past).
- Becoming a Canadian permanent resident
- Have over 20k in my savings

fuck off pajeet. canada is full

365 days no porn, no fap.

Right now I'm on day 5, but I know the urges are coming.

I'm scared, desu :(

200 for 1, ohp, 225 for an attractive gf, and 350/500/600 bench/squat/deadlift.

im at 185. 325. 450. 575. so i am hoping to get a gf by 2019.

I'm on day 55 and today i almost relapsed. It's the boredom that gets you

I'm doing starting strength and skipped from 40 kg squat in my first day to 60 today and almost fainted trying to get up. My form was probably shit and i went too deep

but i liked the struggle of getting up. How can i replicate this?

Before: NA/0.33/0.4/0.75
Currently at: 0.4/0.6/0.75/1.1 from 1.5 mo
Hoping to get to: 0.8/1.5/2/3 by the end of 2018
Starting Weight: 61kg, current weight: 67kg

amen

Is starting strength a meme? Been doing it the past month and liking it but I saw some posts the other day saying I'll become a T-Rex for doing squats. Should I just make it so I have a leg/core and a upper body day or just continue what I'm doing ?

don't be a faggot and just make sure you add accessories like you're meant to.

chinups, dips, curls, skullcrushers and pendlay rows are all good

>be fatfuck
>start going to the gym 6 times a week
>30 minutes of cardio before the workout
>one month later
>im actually weighting more than i was before

What am i doing wrong?

>be a gym regular
>regular time I go is deserted
>head in today and it's packed
>complete noobs everywhere
>non-regulars I've never seen complaining about all the noobs everywhere
>mfw

Ballet, boxing, rock climbing, or aerial silks? I want to find a once a week kind of thing while I wait for my stress fractures to heal. Just swimming and biking is proving too dull

How to achieve this mode?

Or this?

Eat less
Do stomach crunches to distract yourself from your hunger

Proper diet and exercise.

Count calories

Basic bitch cardio bunny routine+ calisthenics.
Diet consists of eating far less, the occasional 24hour water fast, and the occasional vegan days.
Eat nothing with diet or zero calorie or zero sugar in the name.
Drink or eat nothing that wasn't hand prepared from natural ingredients like meat vegetables and fruit and nuts and berries.

...

Are gains even real? Also is there any point trying to motivate yourself to keep going, after your experience with exercise convinces you that your body is such garbage that there is no point to keep trying?

I started exercising again in January, and then lifted weights from April through September with a very slow improvement in strength and bodyweight. Then I injured my shoulder in between sets and had to take October off, and during that month off my body totally reset itself back to how it was before I started, maybe even worse, and since I started exercising again I have just been stuck. A couple of months ago I was thinking "this time is different" but now I'm back to the same old shit. I have literally got nowhere in years and it just feels terrible.

new to fit

joined a gym for 6 months (paid ahead so i won't let myself quit. also saves a few bucks)
how do i achieve this mode?
read sticky

i'm 5'9" and 160lb

accepting advice and tips

current plan is 40mins to hour of gym 5 days a week following a beginner routine.
diet will be a slight calorie deficit and more protein that before diet

am i on the right track?

What's with so many people on Veeky Forums being against masturbating?

left out photo

I'm not against it, why would I care about it? I just avoid it but don't preach against it

Why though?

Diet is everything in regards to weight. Easymode diet is to cut out sugar and processed foods and only eat filling hearty food.

it's a waste of time

How fuckin long does it take you to nut man

ECA is addictive tho b/c it's such an upper

what are some examples of filling foods? I'm fat because of all the not filling shit I eat

it's a stupid meme. In reality masturbation doesn't even dent your overall test production provided you do it sparingly (2x a week).
Obviously this depends from person to person so take what i say with a grain of salt.
