that year i learned that jogging and running is fucking stupid
it's literally one of the shittiest forms of physical activity
you barely burn any calories, you barley work any muscle other than calves
the only thing i achieved was being able to run for longer periods of time
fucking useless

next year i hit the gym, it was faster, more fun, not fucking freezing,
and i got better results in one month at the gym than an entire year of running.

personally, i like boot-camp style workouts. They usually give you an aerobic workout combined with strength training (pushups, sit ups, squats, that type of thing).
Improves your energy levels while also making you stronger. Not as strong as gym, but its a decent alternative

You aren't getting enough fat or protein in your diet to satiate you which will make it more likely that you will go off diet. You need to include more protein most importantly. Going off your posted diet, I'm assuming you're a vegetarian so get yourself some:

--Fairlife milk, full fat
--Protein powder
--Cheese wheels, cheese sticks, etc.
--Peas
--Edamame
--Tofu
--Egg beaters (can eat a higher volume and get more protein for the calories than full eggs--volume management is crucial on such a low cal diet)
--Nuts
--Pea milk

Start cooking your veggies with a little oil if you don't already. Try to keep higher calorie fruits and veggies to a minimum and fill in the extra space with high protein foods. Cauliflower, cauliflower rice, frozen mixed veggies, and berries are all great ways to get your veggies and fruits in compared to bananas and potatoes which, while healthy, eat up valuable calories in a diet where that's not ideal.

Also, don't start off trying to run from scratch, you're carrying a significant amount of excess weight and are new to exercise in general. Hop on the treadmill or exercise bike for a few weeks and get your heart and joints used to the increased cardio. You'll be much more likely to stick to a routine that gradually gets harder than one where you start out running.

Once you feel like you can do a half hour of jogging on the treadmill or fast spinning on the bike, get Couch 2 5K (it's an app) and stick to it. You'll be able to do a 5k in a month, easily.

regardless of the fact that you probably wont manage a 42km run within a year, its a really bad idea that is likely to get you injured if you try

Guess what? That's about as long as anyone lasts during an ANAEROBIC effort. Do you understand what the word means? It basically means you were running so hard that your muscles couldn't use bodyfat for fuel fast enough to keep up, so they started using glycogen (fuel stored in muscle tissue) for fuel, which doesn't require oxygen from your bloodstream. So your heart rate goes through the roof trying to keep up with the demand for oxygen, your respiration likewise, your muscles start to burn, and in 6 minutes you burn out and have to stop.

Basically, you fucked up.

Now: Go back out and SLOW DOWN to a pace you can sustain for at least 30 minutes. Doesn't matter if you're moving only a little faster than you can walk, it's a different stride than walking and uses more energy. There, was that so damned hard?

Now: Go look up "Couch to 5k" (or C25K as it's referred to). This is a BEGINNERS running training program. Remember to keep your pace SUSTAINABLE and don't fucking give up.
