Who here doesn't use shampoo?

There's a thread that caught my interest on Veeky Forums about how shampoo is only a recent invention and our hair has become dependent on it today. Is this true? has anyone gone nopoo or use natural ingredients for shampoo?

Consider the hat. Back in the day eveyone wore a hat. Chrildren, women you name it. With easy synthesis of perfume and other chemical producs after WW2 it becomes viable to maintain hair instead of hats. Now we spend the money and attention once given to hast on hair care and products.

That being said. Soaps are just someting that breaks down fats. Anything but that is perfumes and conditioners. Is soap harmfull? No. Might perfumes be? Some are alergic to them. If you are concerned with this, why not just buy one with no perfume?

posted about this earlier, haven't washed my hair for 4 years or so except bs and vinegar every now and then (and every day with water in shower) and its the same as shampooed hair

shampoo from the shop has about 30 ingredients with all odd chemical names

It's true actually.
We've been brainwashed into thinking that our natural hair is supposed to act a certain way.
The reality is that the issue with certain kinds of hair being brittle and damaged is caused by shampoo and the like.
Your hair gets greasy not because you aren't shampooing enough. It's because your scalp and hair is naturally greasy and that's how it protects itself. It becomes super greasy because the shampoo has dried out your scalp and fucked up your skin. That's where the dandruff comes from as well.

Stop using shampoo and the like unless you have something you absolutely need to get out of it.

cool, how long did it take for your hair to adjust? if I wash my hair with just water no shampoo/conditioner its really greasy and messy

i've done no shampoo for a year or so. it's completely fine but you still have to wash your hair. if it's kinda long you want to massage it too, so the oils get distributed

what a disgusting butt, how on earth do people find that attractive? She's borderline obese

Protip: Use women's shampoo. There is no difference between male and female hair and Companies like Unilever know that girls care more about their hair.My hair feels way better when I use women's brands

i would personally drag my balls through a mile of glass to have her sit on my face

i unironically havent used shampoo in a year. Dont really notice much of a difference

I rub cum in my hair after I fap. As long as I spread it out evenly, it's not noticeable. My hair used to be dry and haylike, but it's smoother and shinier than ever since I've started rubbing cum in it. I'm 100% serious.

get on anti estrogens and testosterone and your hair wont be glowing of ovulation

About a month. Wash it throughouly with hot water, get as much oil and grease off as you can. Finish with a cold water wash.

thicc

a few months i think
i started washing it every week or so with baking soda and water and then white vinegar and water then gradually tapered it off

Women have more oil in their hair

mfw this isnt the reply Veeky Forums wants to hear because they want to live in their meme world of thinking AAS makes you non human and gives you infinite sides but also infinite gains

I've been doing no shampoo since I saw a WW2 pilot with perfect hair and I love it

>NoShampoo 2018
>Have dandruff
>Game Over.

I haven't used shampoo in I think over a year at this point, I like my hair way more now. It used to be incredibly frizzy/dead feeling, now far less so. You might notice more grease initially but your hair will even out once it gets used to producing it's own oils again.

My point is, only one or two are soap. The rest is parfumes.

I only use shampoo when I get it really really dirty, which doesn't happen often.

Me. I try to avoid that stuff for the most part because of all the xeno-estrogens. (yeah, sounds a bit hippie, but at least I'm not a vegantarian.)
I have about shoulder-length hair (kinda like pic related but a bit more fluffy) and the longest I've gone without shampooing them was a bit less than three months a year ago. I brushed my hair and showered every day but used no soap or conditioner. Nobody noticed, even when asked and I still got a lot of compliments fo my hair and head-scratches.
But it doesn't work for everyone. My brother starts smelling like a ram if he doesn't shower properly for a few days.

Use a brush. It should go away after a while.

there's a transition period(1-3 weeks) but after that my hair looked way better and I don't need any styling product.

When it's too greasy i'll use conditioner, which is once or twice a month. You only need shampoo because your hair is used to it, save your money and the estrogens

I shower about 6 days/week but never use shampoo. Stopped using a couple of years ago and after a couple of problematic weeks the health of my hair improved quite a bit.
Only use it nowadays if there's a special reason for it (as if I got dirt/oil/smoke in it).

I work outside, my hair has dirt and sand and shit in it, shampoo is a must if you work manual labor.

I tried nopoo or how the fuck is it called. It's tough and I'm still not 100% sure if we really need shampoo or not,I can't get 1 true answer, even if shampoo is a must I then what kind of shampoo?I want a scientfic approach on this issue. What I'm more sure is that you shouldn't use shampoo too often.I think we are too brainwashed in many things and perhaps shampoo is one of those things. When I told a friend I was trying to not use shampoo he reacted like I was insane,he didn;t even consider the idea or ever questioned the use of shampoo.I think more people should talk about this issue.
