I listen to that album.
For most of my working sets I play dance music, sometimes hardcore stuff. But when I'm going for a 1RM or trying to do a really intense set I put on some metal to get the adrenaline going a little more. Most important music selection is post-workout though, I save my comfiest tunes for the drive home.

These three songs have gotten me the most PR's, when running I tend to listen to the original Nier's OST
I only listen to Meshuggah when I lift and I'm not kidding. Koloss is my fav album by them
Trying to mix it up a bit but these are my go-to’s for getting nice and psyched usually.
>Deftones - Poltergeist
Earlier today, stumbled upon Koi No Yokan and have never listened to Deftones. My fucking God I listened to Swerve City 20 times today.
Mainly hardcore, with some hip hop and metal thrown in.
>hardcore
Madball, deez nuts, in other climes, hatebreed, sick of it all, body count
>metal
Slayer, machine head, shadows fall, children
>hip hop/rap
Run the jewels, mfdoom, immortal technique, tech9, akrobatik
Madball and hatebreed are my go-tos
Adding a couple of my favorite songs

I like edgy yelling shit, might not be the best music overall but as far as lifting goes its perfect.

Stumbling forward in knee-deep snow
The wind is whipping my face in frozen slashes
Void of direction... void of hope...
I call her name... in the whiteout...
There amidst the raging coldness, I catch her figure
The fear of death is staring at me through her eyes
Through the wind's howl, a scream now rises
Something moves in the whirl of snow
Creatures born out of winter's furor
Closing in on us
Through the cave's mouth, a crack in the stone wall
I'm tearing my way right into the dark
A beast is rending the ground behind me
Killing all the light
Hear the grinding... of stone against stone...
I'm crawling deeper... in the dark...

Anybody have good recs for metal except with intelligible vocals? when im working out in the gym all the growly/screamy shit just turns into a drone for me
currently listening to stuff like RATM, Tyr, Mastodon, some Disturbed, etc.
The lyrics do more to get me psyched up than the music does
Today it was this.

This song gets me pumped every time
Anything house, techno, hardcore, preferably minimal, bass-driven and monotonous. Monotonous music is great for focusing
Sometimes I go full k-pop or disco inferno though
