Is it true you gain nothing if your reps are between 5-8 reps?
Is it true you gain nothing if your reps are between 5-8 reps?
Progressive overload
Nothin but mercy
Bump
Yeah, the instant you do six reps, your muscles completely rebuild themselves to the point they were at when you walked in the door and you achieve nothing but lost energy.
Fucking retard.
1-5 reps = strength
8-10 reps = hypothropy
6-7 reps ??????
i've been seeing this one graph too (have feeling it's just one user spamming) -- i've gathered some info from the "tard"-"no u" exchanges around it. i'm pretty sure it's supposed to dip in efficiency around there
but this is based on one study with a kekable sample size of two (2) people that i've never seen anyone link.
80% sure this is retarded
Nobody knows. Solve this and you will be awarded with the Nobel price
lifts = tissue damage
tissue damage + protein = gains
doing 6 reps is fine for strength if you were aiming for 5 and lost count or had a good day. just make sure you don't actually aim for 6 if you want the gains.
no one has ever done 7 reps so we still don't know what might happen in that case
Obviously you'd gain both strength and hypertrophy but not the maximum for either.
D-dont do it
Rumor on the streets has it that is what got Rich Piana killed
why do you think gyms suspend you if you get caught doing 7
my friend's pecs imploded because he miscounted his reps
6 reps seem fine, pretty much the standard in Candito programs
I did it once. Got deported to the Shadowrealm instantly.
It was six years ago. Enough time to reflect. I just want to see my family.
Didn't dorian yates always do 5-8?
Someone break out the graph.
Never 7 tho
The only retard here is you newfag
>not knowing the oldest meme in the board
>taking the bait
This is a proven science you retards
if you actually believe in the 1-5 for strength 8-12 hypertrophy broscience nonsense AS IF ITS THAT SIMPLE then you're a moron who doesnt know the first goddamn thing about programming
Or 6
>Programming
So the computer geek is going to teach us all about lifting now?
but where went the gains ? are the lost 6 and 7 rep gains going to someone else's 8 rep ?
hardee har har
The gains disappear due too to much muscle confusion
Here is a more simplified graph you brainlets can understand
I go back and forth between those rep schemes and it works for me and feels great, fite me
