I just try to focus on my eyespots and it helps me get to sleep real quick, within 5 min usually.
Just have kids. You'll be tired enough to always fall asleep and get 8+ hours guaranteed.
I don't think this is necessary. Don't stay up late at your computer or in front of the TV, but I haven't found that reading on a phone or tablet in bed in the dark hurts. Just turn the brightness all the way down (and possibly use a dimming app). Like reading a book, it helps my mind wind down and when I start dozing and having a hard time keeping focus, I know it's time for sleep. Though make sure you're reading a book or something and not F5ing Veeky Forums threads.
