My gym is 2km away and I walk there though.

/k/ommando here. i'm 167 and 5'9". Looking to get from skinnyfat mode and drop 20lbs. I can run 4 miles about 3 days a week, but can't over do it due to bad knees. I can't join a gym right now but are there some excercises i can do at my house to start on muscle building - like situps - pushups, etc? are these decent stand ins for a month or so, or not?

Maybe try hiking? It's been my go-to cardio activity for years and it's never had any bad effects on my joints.

You're a dumbass. Sprinters are jacked because it's an anaerobic activity. It takes 10 seconds for O2 to get from the atmosphere to muscle. Sprinters are done by then. Their performance would not be significantly different if they held their breath while they ran.

Why does this matter? There is no energetic cost to adding muscle for sprinters. More is always better. Compare to 400 m specialists. Bolt didn't run the 400 did he.

Hi thanks for your guys input. I want to mention i found some 5lb barbells and 3lb barbells. Would these be of any use? What would be a good starting out system of reps, keeping in mind my cardio regimen from before, and the fact i'll be trying to eat lean proten, veges, and knock out a decent amount of carbs? Yes, i'm serious. At the moment i want to lose at least 10-15lbs, but want to make a start on some basic strength/upperbody sculpting eventually. I'd like to get back to ottermode. thanks 4 halp.
