leave your basement and get some sun

Shave your head

I tried everything, and while some products can keep it at bay for a while, the only thing that really worked in the end was male pattern balding.

Head and Shoulders worked great for me. I haven't had dandruff since switching to it.

I've considered it, but I don't know if I can pull it off. Plus my scalp is all fucked up. There's this layer of product and dead skin that has built up over the years and I've slowly been peeling it away. It's gotten marginally better with washing, but I still find patches pretty regularly. It would probably look nasty for a while after I shaved it.

How often do you shampoo your hair?

Every other day. I don't remember sepcifics but I think it only took a week or so for my dandruff to be gone after I started with it. I had it pretty bad too.

Pine tar soap works great bro. Very masculine scent too. Only cost me 3.99 at gnc. Probably cheaper at Walgreens or something.

keto shampoo

Unironically, don't use shampoo. Just keep a fine comb in the shower and comb your hair thoroughly, making sure to scrape the scalp while doing so. This combined with the water from the shower will get your hair clean enough.

This. Shampoo every day too.

I was plagued with terrible thick flaky dandruff for the last several years. Tried all kinds of different stuff that only worked temporarily until one absolutely based user recommended pic related to me. Took only two uses and my dandruff went away completely. Now I use just a little bit mixed with my regular shampoo twice a week and it's never come back.

Seconding this. Head & Shoulders, Selson Blue, and shampoos based on tar all worked, but none of them worked as well as keto shampoo. Whereas the others work best when used every other day, keto shampoo lets me go a full week between uses before my scalp starts flaking. When I use it every three or four days consistently for an extended period of time, I sometimes forget I ever had dandruff.

This, i had really bad dandruff then i stopped shampooing entirely and now i have none.

Apple cider vinegar every 2 weeks and water washing
i quit shampoo for 2 months and going, anti-dandruff shampoo are memes, i got flaky on the same day, likely a hundred spent in multiple shampoos, clear, palmolive, headshoulder and why? just so i could keep getting fucked over

Vegan shampoos are better in every way. Not only is it ethically better for animals and the environment but it's also been suggested to prevent and even cure scalp cancer

Fuck off, soygoy,

nopoo here, too
Fixed it for me, guess the problem was dry scalp.
The first days suck, your hair gets very greasy since its used to always being stripped of its natural oil. But then it equalizes or something

Keep scrubbing away with those meat-based shampoos. It'll help accelerate that receding hairline and make it easier for the rest of us to quickly identify your inferior genetics

Jumping on the Keto bandwagon. I've had ridiculous my entire life, and I could keep it managable by alternating between different dandruff shampoos on a two-three week basis, but I was still quite flaky.

I bought Nizoral and it works like a dream. I've been using it since 2015 or 16 and the only time I get flakes is when I run out and don't buy more. I got a prescription for 2% ketoconazole shampoo for a while, but 1% was enough for me.

>27, beautiful brown locks down to my ass, no signs of balding whatsoever
>receding hairline
>implying

lmao

As a vegan, I don't easily fall for a meatcuck's dubious claims. And even if it were true, why would a straight man have hair down to his ass. lol homo

Keep up the cope, hairlet vegan cuck faggot homo gaylord fart sniffer.

>if i say a bunch of bad words, maybe someone will give me the attention i so desperately crave

>if i mention i'm a vegan every two minutes, maybe someone will give me the attention i so desperately crave

shave your head i did it today with n0#1 and zero on sides
theres no reason not to unless youre a cuck slave to opinions and society haha

Is it actually dandruff or just dry scalp? Dandruff flakes are big, yellow, and greasy. Dry scalp flakes are small, white, and dry. They have different causes and different effective treatments.

it's a little thing called credentials, meanwhile, the only thing we know about you is that you're too scared to go to a barber.

I shave my head. Used to think it was ugly, but learned to love it.

what kind of shampoo will get rid of my psoriasis

plz help

cerdito

there is a brand called moogoo user. i tried for years to fix my scalp psoriasis and finally i came across this shit and it fixed it completely. get the shampoo and conditioner and the specialist scalp cream. check it out its a literal godsend and I've been flake free for almost 2 years now.

Agree on the no shampoo, but dont scrape your scalp, and dont comb wet hair unless you want to ruin it

COAL TAR
GET COAL TAR SHAMPOO

This is the best, but at the same time, it, as with all shampoo/conditioner, makes your hair worse. You have to shampoo every single day, if you don't your hair will be worse within a couple of days then it would ever be without using any shampoo or conditioner.

It is best to try to not use any shampoo or conditioner at all. Ideally, you should move to somewhere that has a clear water river or creek and use the large body of water to gently strip the hair of any excess dirt/sweat/oil etc. You can somewhat simulate this in a shower.

I stopped using shampoo/conditioner. I shave my head every 4 months or so and once I stopped shampoo, the first time I shaved my hair I noticed my scalp was absolutely perfect. No patches that suggest dandruff.

Teatree oil is what worked for me . Two sessions and my dandruff is gone

Yup this is the solution. It is harder as your hair gets longer due to the inability of weak showers to penetrate to your scalp, but probably even then still better than using shampoo.

What tricks people is that when they stop using shampoo, their condition gets worse so they go back on it. You have to wait it out. It takes sometimes months to get things back in order. You also have to obviously use water on your hair in the shower and massage around the scalp, not just do nothing.

>meat-based shampoos

OP I had dandruff that made me consider going bald. My scalp was all red, and any time I scratched my head it was fucking snowing. It was not only conventional dandruff, my scalp was scraping off in larger pieces, too. It was also constantly itching. And washing with anything did not help. It was the same 10 minutes after washing it. Terrible, over the course of multiple years.

This product helped me like nothing. I have the green version, don't know the difference, but I guess a this high concentration of selenium sulfide will do the trick. I washed my head with this, the first thing it did was to "melt" all the weak skin into dandruff, so it was gone after the second wash. It used to come back after a while, but since I switched to cold showers it doesn't really. I wash my hair every 1-2 weeks now and it's all right. I guess humidity and warm water is very good for fungal & yeast infections.

TLDR cold water + this link solved my problems which were probably worse than yours

the only correct answer is
apple cider vinegar and coconut oil treatments. if you must use a shampoo or soap use pine tar soap as it is the most natural and contains no chemicals that damage your hair and make it fall out / thinner.

Behead and shoulders.

SS+GOMAD

The only shampoos that work for me are nizoral and vichy dercos. I use a combo of both.

Please explain further user. I would like to know your secrets.

if it's soap particles, rinse more and use a fine comb

if it's psoriasis, use t-gel or some other therapeutic shampoo

THIS! I had terrible dandruff and body acne and i tried head and shoulders with no results. After reading about xenoestrogens in cosmetic products i went and picked up some Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap. Way less body acne compared to when i used Irish Spring. These days i do a warm water wash of the hair followed by a cool water rinse every day, ill use the pine tar soap on my hair about once a week. No more dandruff, and when i use the soap it leaves my hair in a texture that is easy to style.

Smells like a god damned forest fire in the bathroom every time i shower.

But Sarge, you don't have dandruff!

This user knows. Used 2/3 vinegar + 1/3 water mixture on my head for a month or two, never got dandruff since then.

Dandruff is produced by bacteria on your scalp, vinegar kills them.

My only tips are
1. Don't get it in your eyes
2. Wash your hair with the vinegar solution without the shower water getting to your hair while you are washing your hair...then rinse

>Pine tar

I wish I knew about this a year ago. I found Coal Tar which works just like you described but smells like a new car tire instead of pine.

Don't think you can.
It's genetic.
I don't get that shit, not to any noticeable extent, and I never wash my hair.
My wife on the other hand takes great care of her hair, but has horrible dandruff.

Some dandruff is caused by fungus, some is caused by dry scalp. Medicated dandruff shampoo tends to be extremely drying to the hair and scalp so don't use it unless you have fungal dandruff.

...

exactly. i use it, and i never had dandruff. head and shoulders is the best for its prevention.

Anti dandruff shampoo for a few days until its gone.

It dries my hair

get some coconut oil and apply it to your scalp (liquid form, only to your scalps). let it sit for a couple hours, maybe over night, then wash it out. helped me immediately and still have no dandruff 2 weeks after using the oil. but dont make the same mistake as me, and oil your entire head + hair, it'll be a pain to get rid of it all.

forgot to mention not sure if this method is approved for whites

>forgot to mention not sure if this method is approved for whites
what, you didnt even write that. i'm white myself and it worked just as described

>i'm white myself

NoPoo

>have flaky hair
>tried head and shoulders
>nizoral
>selsun blue
>a lot of the name brand dandruff shampoos
>nothing worked

Then a month ago I found in Target this Cleansing shampoo/conditioner without and sulfates n shit in it.

The brand is called RenPure and it is the vanilla mint. After about 2 weeks of using it my flakes disappeared. Also made my hair softer and stay in place more.
