Cheese

How good is cheese? Are there certain cheeses that are healthier options over others? Which cheeses should I try include in my diet?

I am trying to lose weight by the way.

Parmesan
Mozzarella
Goat cheese
Cottage cheese
Quark
Skyr
Greek yogurt

Avoid useless high fat low protein stuff

I don't normally jump on the low fat bandwagon, but low fat or fat free FAGE (pronounced faggy) greek yogurt is tasty, high proton, and low cal. It helps break up the monotony of chicken, tuna, shake.

all cheese is good, fuck vegans

Feta is godly, queso fresco a basic go-to I usually have with eggs & bacon.

Gouda + apple slices is a good snack, easy to get tired of gouda though.

>easy to get tired of gouda though
I can NOT confirm this. I fucking love Gouda.

As you were, then! :^)

Fugg this thread is getting me stoked to go to the grocery store and cheese up

How do you guys get over the goat cheese after taste? The initial taste is fantastic, but that after taste is like I just licked the goats asshole.

Eat w/ fruit or with a full brekky

What's gouda taste like, I bought some camembert yesterday and was eyeing up the gouda. Is it good in sammiches?

I don't know if it's possible to describe the taste of cheese. gouda is kinda smokey I guess

Like, what other cheeses are similar?

Gruyere

A real cheddar. Not any of this yellow American “cheddar” bullshit.
But a real englished aged cheddar.
The best hard cheese.

For soft cheese I like a honey goat cheese or the stinkiest most disgusting blue I can find.

Stop cheeseposting, Kyle.

I can't get enough blue cheese

emmental is best cheese. and brie. and a sharp cheddar.

i can't. the aftertaste is horrendous. it doesn't exist to me. it isn't cheese. can't understand how common it is in restaurants.

Gouda is moderately firm, So "spongy" , With a relatively medium taste and Slightly nutty overtones.

Cheese is a bad protein source. It's almost entirely made up out of fat.
t. food technologist

29g Protein per 100, 0g fat

(30 grams of cheddar)
120 calories
7 grams of protein
1 gram of carbohydrate
10 grams of fat

That's not "Almost entirely made up of fat", you fucking brainlet.

>I am trying to lose weight by the way.

Then no, avoid cheese as much as you can. It's very high in calories overall.

99% of the protein in cheese is casein, which is doesn't have very useful amino-acids at all

How does having a smaller range of amino acids support your claim that it's a bad protein source? It's a high quality complete protein, which is why it's used along with whey as a protein supplement.

It's pronounced FAH-yuh dickhead

2 mini babybells with a pack of 100 calorie raw almonds is a good snack

THIS is german master race cheese over here.
Tastes like asshole, but the GAINZ, man!

Time to take the cottage cheese pill user. The truth is out there.
