I also do Romanian deadlifts, walking lunges and *laying* hamstring curls which all hit the glutes. Hip thrusts are the best thing for your ass but they’re a bitch to set up. Pull through are also really good.
Don't do it very often, but I max out the leg sled at my gym which is 8 pl8s on each side.
So 720 lbs without the weight of the sled. I do that for a couple sets of 5 usually.
