This. I usually look them in the eye, sweep their shit off one off the benches and "ask" if they're using this one

Even if the person was doing that you don't take up more than one bench.

I once saw a girl put her water bottle and phone on one bench, and take two other benches, place them side by side, put a foot on each one and start doing goblet squats holding a kettlebell. That's the worst instance of taking up gym equipment I've seen so far

Is it not some kind of unwritten gym etiquette that when there's a fucking line, you stick to the standard 3-5 sets of whatever you're doing? Like I repeatedly see people occupy a rack for up to 45 minutes because they need to do like 12 sets of squats
